Some of us out here in the west may feel the lasted issue with the confederate flag banning to be small but I don’t feel it is. There is more here and southern life is being touted down this is not a good thing.
It holds a larger meaning to both the people who live and love there states along with southern pride and concept of common sense is being trampled on in the name of emotional symbolism.
The symbolism is the confederate flag and how some people feel the true meaning is racism, while others look at the substance of the real problem and know banning a flag will solve nothing.
The real issue with racism is sin and taking way objects or banning flags might pacify some it does nothing to address the actual problem of race relations.
The flag itself is a historical references and symbol to southern pride, rebellion of then the current federal government and the freedom of states and their peoples right to succeed or leave the federal union.
Unfortunately for the south slavery was an important part of their economic development and without slaved labor they would be inferior to the industrial North.
By no means is slavery moral or ethical and not every person who lived in the southern states owned or condoned slavery but many condoned the action of succession and leaving the current union.
In 1992 a Clinton Gore presidential campaign button was designed around the confederate flag, now did this mean the Clintons were trying to sure up all the white racist votes?
Nonsense, being from two southern states the Clinton Gore campaign was showing their southern pride, if they garnered a few extra votes from white power so be it (only joking).
The hysterical and emotional frenzy of the symbolic nature of the confederate flag could be dealt with in two ways. Let the frenzy go on hoping eventually the hysteria will die down and go away and by this time next year no one remembers.
Another way is for our leaders spiritual, academic and political to take control and educate the symbolism and the substance of what the root of the issue is about.
Although thus far a few spiritual leaders have weighed in on the issue we have seen little or no academic presence and the political leadership has been very poor but is that surprising.
Political leaders will only address this issue based on the path of least resistance; they will take the side of which democracy complains the most and do their best not to insult both the symbolic emotional side and the substance side.
To the politician both sides are votes to win from so taking one side or another is a no win game thus making this into a game of winning votes not morally siding with the truth.
This is call this is bad democracy and its at its worst, people need leaders to make decisions based on a republic not a democracy in this kind of setting.
Bad democracy is majority rules regardless the outcome based on self interest. It’s a democracy of many but of selfish interest, either from the many or condoned by the leadership for their own self interest.
While academia sits on its laurels history is being misguided by hysteria. The one institution that should know the soul of the confederate flag says nothing.
The root of the problem is sin, racism is sin and no symbolic gesture to ban or permanent removal of a flag will fix the substance issue of sin.
Politicians tend to avoid sin as a word, finding a good statesman in this day is hard to come by.
If anything politics will run for the aid of science to help define sin in a more politically correct way without using the Bible or God, it’s rarely done but give it time our president is giving it a try right now.
This leaves our spiritual and academic leaders to calm the waters. We are in need of spiritual leaders to confront the root of the sustenance which is sin.
They need to offer the service of dealing with this sin and most of all the healing act of repentance of the sin.
The academics can offer truth in history which should have been done at the grade school level all the way through college.
The combination of calling out the substance of racism as sin with the historical value of truth defining what the substance of the symbolic nature of the confederacy was.
What can the common sense person do, unfortunately the common man is losing his and her grip in this world but stay strong seek and study truth in God.
Study and know the history of this nation. This will not be the last time history will be attacked by symbolic nonsense so be prepared.
2 Timothy 4 2-3 ( preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with [a]great patience and instruction. 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires,)
Not knowing the old will keep us from knowing the present and surly lead our future to fail. Both the Old Testament and the Bill of Right particularly the 2nd Amendment have a bunch in common and can teach us a lot about mankind history, God and country.
The right to keep and bear arms is important right that most Americans take very seriously.
For the most part people that are for and against this right with little in the middle. With those that are against feeling this right the right to keep and bear arms is much like the Bibles Old Testament.
It’s old and does not apply today, it was relevant then but not now society has evolved better and most of all its very violent.
Much like the Old Testament, the 2nd amendment is just as relevant then and now. It holds a very import piece of history in our society and way of life.
To disregard both text would be to change everything, America would be different not better without the 2nd amendment and Christianity would be obsolete and a fraud without the Old Testament.
Statements like Pope Francis “It makes me think of … people, managers, businessmen who call themselves Christian and they manufacture weapons. That leads to a bit of distrust, doesn’t it?“ become hypocritical in nature since his own money from the Vatican buys guns and weapons to protect him.
Pope Francis is not the only well known face that has made this kind of hypocrisy our federal and state leaders elect do the same.
President Obama and my own state Senator from California Diane Feinstein both have spoken out against private citizens protecting themselves again hypocrisy.
Don’t get me wrong I believe I get what the Pope is saying in a Biblical text way but that way cannot be, it can never be since the day man fell in the garden of Eden.
Although the comment is Marxist in nature and meaning it shows little understanding of historical and spiritual importance of the Old Testament to the nature of man in which led up to the 2nd Amendment to be made.
I will be fare and add that Pope Francis most likely made this a general accusation and not towards one country or one human nature unlike President Obama and Senator Feistein.
The Old Testament and the 2nd amendment both tell a tale of disobedience of man and we can use both to help with the protection of our lives and our societies we live in.
In the Old Testament we are given countless times of disobedience to God by men and by God’s chosen people the Jews. Since the day Adam and Eve fell from grace man has been evil in nature and because of that man has had to arm himself for protection.
No matter if you live in a country like American or a communist country such as North Korea you will always have a moral right to defend yourself from bodily harm. The difference is does the country you live in support your right.
The American framers understood this right, it spurred from many different aspects but they knew this was a right that every citizen needed to be free in this new society.
The American framers saw firsthand what it was like to live in oppressive society and what happened when you disobeyed that form of government.
The Old Testament showed everyone what it was like to live under an oppressive society with God’s chosen people the Jews; the Old Testament also showed everyone what happens when you disobey God.
Understanding the relevance of the Old Testament is crucial to understanding the New Testament just as understanding why the American framers felt so passionate for the right to keep and bear arms be a freedom for every person living in the new world.
For those saying the Old Testament is outdated and not relevant to the new covenant (New Testament, grace and salvation) is truly showing ignorance.
Understand this, Old Testament during the days of Jesus and after his ascending to heaven was a collection of writings put together called the Septuagint in plane it was the Bible of the Jews.
Both Jesus and the saints used this Bible, they wrote the letters of what today we now call the New Testament. If the Old Testament was irrelevant then why would Jesus and the saints use it or quote from it.
For those saying the 2nd amendment is old fashion and relevant only to the war of independence then why was the right to keep and bear arms added to the Bill of Rights after the war of independence?
Without the 2nd amendment how do we think the war of 1812 would have turned out 21 years after the war of independence and 49 years before the civil war; at what time in history did the second amendment become void and who made this call?
To make comments “people, managers, businessmen who call themselves Christian and they manufacture weapons. That leads to a bit of distrust, doesn’t it?” is either ignorance to God and history or arrogance to the common man.
One can make the point that Noah is just as guilty for the manufacture of weapons as anyone else.
If Noah had just ignored God and not build the Ark maybe God would have destroyed all mankind and started from scratch with a new and improved man and woman that would be more like a fun loving drone or robot to obey God’s every command.
Should Noah be left out of heaven because he built an ark and saved mankind only to have himself sin and mankind disobey God again and again? That leads to a bit of distrust, doesn’t it?
Why continue with the current model of man, why not scrap that model or heck not make man at all just pretty flowers, birds and maybe some bees.
These argument will rage on I know so I say again know your history both Biblical and what the framers of this country intentions were.
Without knowing the Old Testament we really can’t understand why things happen the way they do. Why God allowed what he did and what his purpose was for and what our purpose is for.
Not knowing and understanding the founding fathers and framers of this country’s purpose of designing the Bill of Rights is pure malicious ignorance on ones self. Without trying to know and understand is to not really love both God and country.
In Kenya 150 students lost lives while here in America our president plays games with the decision to give or not give a known agent of terrorism Iran nukes.
150 lives snuffed out while a Pizzeria in Indiana is forced to shut down over death threats and harassment for just answering a question a TV reporter asked.
Is it because America has two ocean on each side of her and the two neighboring countries connected are peaceful that we loose perspective on others hurting.
In the Middle East people that refuse to except Islam are inprisioned or killed. People shout how bad states like Indiana and Arkansas are but give a pass at Saudi Arabia for wiping a woman and sending her to jail for 6th month for speaking to the media for being gang raped, in America we call that free speech.
A Jehovah’s Witnesses gets a pass for not saluting our flag its called Religious Liberty but never tell someone why you won’t cater their wedding.
Are we all loosing our perspective on what is really important, I hope not I’m pretty sure most of my family knows what is right from wrong and the people that I call my friend feel the same as well. God I pray Americans can see beyond all this.
Is President Obama a Christian?
A question that keeps popping up now and then when our President seems to overwhelming give Islam a pass for everyday atrocities while questioning the legitimacy of Christians and Christianity.
So is President Obama a Christian, I do not think he is and if I’m wrong then the President can make his case and prove those of us that feel this way why we are incorrect.
Why can I say no he’s not a Christian, what gives me the right to say this and if the President is not a Christian is he Muslim?
I do not believe our President is Muslim as well, I think he has strong ties and sympathy to Islam but does not practice Islam I believe our President is strong leftest Atheist.
Obama’s father was Muslim as was his grandfather and those are two figures spent a good amount of time in Obama life. His step father was Atheist and he helped raise Obama in his very young youth.
Yes Obama did have drive otherwise there is no way he would have become President but I think the President is somewhat of a lazy man and to take the time and effort to know and practice Islam is something Obama probably would not make time for, golf is very important.
Understanding that Obama’s father was a Muslim he also was a socialist and as we can see by how Obama views the way America should be makes it easy to suspect that our President is a socialist himself. If you understand socialist then you know they tend to embrace the atheist point of view when politics is involved.
I believe Obama was raised an atheist, has strong ties to Islam with his father and grandfather but adding his socialist ideology he never stopped believing in the atheist ideas and it’s an easier way to live a life since atheism is meaningless.
Fast forward to Obama coming to America and going to college, the two collages that he attend Harvard Law and Columbia are very liberal progressive fitting his socialism and atheist views. But he would will have a hard time running for political office with Islamic ties and an atheist ideology so what do you do? Get referred to Reverend Jeremiah Wright, say Wright converted you from Islam and your good everyone loves a good conversion story.
Problem with this is the truth, Wright pastor of the UCC in Chicago is not the kind of pastor that preaches conversion and salvation but rather divides people by race, color and class. If you voted for Barack Obama because he was converted to Christianity well I’m sorry to say you fell for a lie.
Misquotes, yes Obama misquotes God’s word quite often as a matter fact every time he tries to quote the Bible he gets it wrong.
The latest slam on Christianity has Obama telling the world the Christians of today are no better or worse than Islam because of the crusades that took place over 900 years ago I guess he forgot about the reformation age of the church oops Obama did it again.
No Christian with a heart that has been saved by God’s Grace misquotes the Bible over and over again without asking for forgiveness. No Christian that has been saved by God’s grace would condemn his fellow man of something that took place over 900 years ago.
Even if you were not really a Bible pounding Christian like many of our former Presidents before but have expressed their belief in God don’t sympathize with a religion that is opposite of the religion you claim to believe in.
No I do not believe president Obama is a Christian, I don’t think he believes there is a God. I think he has made deals and sympathies with Islam for whatever reason but I have a feeling our President is an atheist that is willing to do whatever it takes by pandering to Christians when it needs to be done and pander to Muslims when that needs to be done all to further his socialist agenda.
END OF THE WEEK LOWDOWN DIRTY SAME OF IT ALL JAN 23
End of the week and this was a pretty big one, odd how it seesaws’ up and down like that.
First off; State of the union where our President has assured us “the shadow of crisis has passed, and the state of the union is strong.” Almost the way a king or god might say it or a wannabe king or god.
Besides telling us we are safe he also want to give everything away for, free collage, money, phones, houses you need it and can’t afford it somebody else will pay for it.
Movie American Sniper rolled out over 160 million dollars worth of movie as Hollywood tells the story of American Hero Chris Kyle and guess who is jealous. Seth Rogan and Michael Moore chime in to try and discredit both Kyle and the movie. First with Moore calling Kyle a coward. Rogan next by calling the movie Nazi propaganda.
Moore the true communist, he makes no apologies while Rogan cowers and tries to say well I didn’t mean that, maybe Moore was confused about what movie had the coward.
42 years ago yesterday January 22 the American government died, as Row v Wade was decided that abortion was legal and you the American citizen may have to pay for it.
This does not mean Americans are evil or died with its supreme court, no as an American I am against abortion and will keep this issue in prayer.
As Americans we can make a choice not to follow this destructive path and pledged to defend the lives that cannot defend themselves.
Some good reads this week; first off from Brietbart Billy Crystal wants TV to stop shoving gay’s scenes in his face. Something I have been saying for some time yet, Hollywood does have an agenda, to make us think this just fine and normal. They want your kids to think it and they want you to think it but I’m not thinking it nor will I ever will think that.
From BarbWire Deacon Keith Fournier writes about Martin Luther King Jr’s dream speech and how this needs to include the unborn children as well. “Never ever forget what Hitler did in Germany was legal”
Breitbart spells out how our president vows to protect the right to have an abortion, sad our leader wants to kill children.
From Charisma Magazine Pope Francis has to tinker with his comments “Breed like rabbits” I guess the Pope should have read my blog that explained what he meant, maybe I need to apply for Popes PR man or proof his speeches. In the end the Pope tries to blame poverty on economic inequality again walking that fine line of socialist communism that is going to bite Francis hard someday or make him a world leader.
Again from Charisma Anderson Cooper tries to tackle Larry Tomczak comments that Hollywood has an agenda. This video goes to show us just how out of touch silver spoon Cooper is to the real world.
Again from Charisma Magazine Larry Tomczak fires back at Ellen DGeneres in response to both Cooper and Ellen, this is a great video well worth seeing if you’re trying to defend traditional marriage.
And finally from Barb Wire John Kerry and James Taylor go on tour together in Paris to sing “you got a friend” to France. President could not make it so lets send singing Kerry and Taylor to smooth things over.
Like I said busy week in the news, I too churned out three blogs this week. Illogical and absurd Monday where I took some of the most illogical and absurd blogs and articles of the left and progressive and put them in more of a moral and ethical perspective fill free to take a look
To Canard is error to Reed is denied, I’m a big motocross and supercross fan I love off road motorcycles. Last week two racers Trey Canard and Chad Reed crashed into each other and I go over who was to blame and did the punishment and crimes make it all worthwhile for the both of them.
Ungrateful Success was my take on the American Sniper Michael Moore and Rogan jealousy freak out. Pretty much Moore is a liar and Rogan is a jealous coward read and you be the judge.
Little past halfway in the month and we here in California need rain!!! Yeah it’s been nice weather but we need rain. Also stay healthy there has been some nasty’s going around and people are getting sick so up that vitamin C if you will.
END OF THE WEEK THE LOW DOWN DIRTY SAME OF IT ALL
End of the week in January once again and has the news calmed down well kind of kind of not. Our president made a move that radio talk show host Glen Beck feels that it shows where president Obama’s heart is on Islam.
President Obama basically did not attend nor did he send anyone of high ranking to the Paris Unity rally and some ask why. Beck figures that Obama feelings are there is no future for anyone that disrespects the profit Mohammad; he made this a UN speech in 2012.
Nor Beck and I are saying president Obama is condoning the raid and killings at Charlie Hebdo but with this philosophy one is not shocked that this type of raid and killing would happen thus why go to event that disrespected his faith or send anyone for all that matters. Regardless of the fact it was in my opinion disrespectful of the President not to go or send the Vice President after all that’s what VP’s are for.
The other new item that I have been following close has been Pope Francis embracing climate change. You may or may not think Pope Francis is a big thing because you’re not Catholic but believe me this is a big issue that affects us all. The Pope is the biggest religious spokesperson in the world and when he speaks he not only speaks for Catholics but for Christians everywhere.
It is my opinion that this is a very dangerous issue for Pope Francis to tackle. One environmentalism and climate change is basic communism in its roots and core. Pope has to know that climate change not only deals with population control but with economic destruction as well if he does not know or understand this then he is quite frankly ignorant more to come on this issue I’m sure of it.
Two great reads to check out, the first from Charisma a response to Ellen DeGeneres on calling out not only the writer of this article but of us all that feel his article was right and just. Larry Tomczak wrote an article last week on how Hollywood has been targeting immorality propaganda for the last few years on our youth.
Second good read is from BarbWire on how the media and our federal leaders keep shoving down our throats how these latest attacks on Paris, Boko Haram are just extreme Islam and this article like me disagrees.
This is of the Dalai Lama using what I think is yesterday’s news to make people think he has this wonderful geniuses of thought. Well Dalai you’re not, lots of us already knew this. We say this all the time “work work and pay your bills then die” this is nothing neither new nor of great intellect.
What gets me with these post of Dalai Lama, Gandhi or Buddha is this is nothing geniuses. God has already spoke and discussed this in this case the Dalai Lama has just restated what King Solomon wrote in Psalms 127 1-2.
What I feel on people that cling on to others like Lama, and Gandhi are just people that are afraid to look for God and his philosophy in the Bible.
They feel less threatened by men that are held in regard by the godless but feel like someone is judging them or they feel like they are becoming that religious nut down the street if they open up a Bible or read a book on Biblical studies much less try a Bible study or church. Very sad yes but I believe this to be true. I also believe this to be true as well, those of you that seek God will not be disappointed and will be fulfilled.
Finally this ducktails from the Paris incident and that is free speech, free speech is a double edge sword if you didn’t know that already. Charlie Hebdo was a pretty vulgar magazine that not only attacked Muslims but Christians alike.
To embrace free speech we also need to embrace ethics and morality to help balance it out. Yes it was wrong for those Islamic terrorist to kill because some magazine blasphemed Mohammad but it was morally wrong for the same magazine to disrespect people that are held in regard or not like they did.
Yes they have a right to do so but was it right to do so. I personally think it is wrong of them to disrespect Nuns, priest and people of prominence in other religions minus atheism. This is why I keep saying morality and ethics are so important in your life; it might even keep you from getting killed some day.
ILLOGICAL AND ABSURD MONDAY: EPISODE 2
It’s Monday work week has started but like most places of work we all like to hang round the watering hole or at lunch time and kick around some of the reads of the week so here are a few I picked out from some most illogical and absurd magazines and blogs.
First article from Time “Most Energy Drink Companies Market to Minors” I respond to this mainly on the idea that this is just another concept and way to regulate Americans, punish companies that make money.
Bottom line energy drinks make big money and our government wants it. When you read the article you see only the progressives want to indulge in this and this is nothing but a money grab in the name of the children because you the parent can’t control your child.
“Obama Community College Plan Builds on State Efforts” From U.S. News our president is itching to spend more money and keep people out of the work force at least I see it that way. The president wants to hitch a ride from Tennessee and pay for the first two years of community college.
The feds will pay the first 70% and Obama is hoping the rest of the 49 states will pick up the remaining 30%. This means increased taxes to pay for such a program it also takes people out of the work force while they attend collage full time.
Why anyone thinks paying for others education forcefully is a good idea is beyond me. Student loans has been a bad idea and a burden on society, maybe a volunteer program for people to donate so local communities or states can educate would be a better idea but we all know few would donate to such a program so let’s just force everyone with their taxes and in the name of education.
From the Politico “Mitt Romney Says He’s Considering a 2016 Run” Not a bad article from the progressive Politico pretty much just the facts ma’am. Why, why, why Mitt, you’re a two time looser you lost to McCain a looser among losers. Yes you were right about Obama but so was I so was every other conservative for all that matters.
Mitt you’re a moderate liberal republican and we don’t want that, conservatives don’t want that. Mitt are you wondering why the main stream media wants you to run…. Because you lose elections. Please Mitt do us a favor and doesn’t run, tell your buddy Jeb also and your fellow buddy Governor Chris to do the same.
From Solon “Ted Cruz & The New McCarthyism Dangerous Response to the Atrocity in Paris”. Written by Elias Isquith and this guy doesn’t even know and understand what McCarthyism is. Basically he’s trying to cash in on Chris Mathews ranting that Cruz is the reincarnation of Joseph McCarthy.
Isquith doe not name one thing that even remotely similar to McCarthy. What this is about, Isquith is a flaming progressive that dislikes Ted Cruz so he like Matthews calls him names.
For those of you that don’t know who Joseph McCarthy is well know your history and also know McCarthy was correct on communism but just attacked his idea in a bad way. There are many other names worse than being called McCarthyism like Communist. Isquith and Matthews are Communist in thought and they know that and that is why they despise Cruz and call names with no basis.
And finally from our progressive writers at Alternet “College Professor Has a Masters…. And is Living in Poverty” This article just goes to prove you don’t have to spend the money and time for a higher education to make a nice living in the county. Alissa Quart follows a college professor that is a single mother with a disabled child and how she is in poverty yet I don’t believe making $24K a year constitute poverty.
I guess we are to feel sorry that a successful student can’t make it in the real world work force. Let see I didn’t get higher education yet my wife and I bring in a tat over 100K a year and we pay big taxes on that. We are able to own a home, two cars and two motorcycles and we pay our bills on time and the real shocker is my wife and I both work for college graduates with the same degree that our $24K professor does; choices it came to choices and how we went about making those choices work for us.
