Category Archives: movie review

End of the week and this was a pretty big one, odd how it seesaws’ up and down like that.

First off; State of the union where our President has assured us “the shadow of crisis has passed, and the state of the union is strong.” Almost the way a king or god might say it or a wannabe king or god.

Besides telling us we are safe he also want to give everything away for, free collage, money, phones, houses you need it and can’t afford it somebody else will pay for it.

Movie American Sniper rolled out over 160 million dollars worth of movie as Hollywood tells the story of American Hero Chris Kyle and guess who is jealous. Seth Rogan and Michael Moore chime in to try and discredit both Kyle and the movie. First with Moore calling Kyle a coward. Rogan next by calling the movie Nazi propaganda.

Moore the true communist, he makes no apologies while Rogan cowers and tries to say well I didn’t mean that, maybe Moore was confused about what movie had the coward.

42 years ago yesterday January 22 the American government died, as Row v Wade was decided that abortion was legal and you the American citizen may have to pay for it.

This does not mean Americans are evil or died with its supreme court, no as an American I am against abortion and will keep this issue in prayer.

As Americans we can make a choice not to follow this destructive path and pledged to defend the lives that cannot defend themselves.

Some good reads this week; first off from Brietbart Billy Crystal wants TV to stop shoving gay’s scenes in his face. Something I have been saying for some time yet, Hollywood does have an agenda, to make us think this just fine and normal. They want your kids to think it and they want you to think it but I’m not thinking it nor will I ever will think that.

From BarbWire Deacon Keith Fournier writes about Martin Luther King Jr’s dream speech and how this needs to include the unborn children as well. “Never ever forget what Hitler did in Germany was legal”

Breitbart spells out how our president vows to protect the right to have an abortion, sad our leader wants to kill children.

From Charisma Magazine Pope Francis has to tinker with his comments “Breed like rabbits” I guess the Pope should have read my blog that explained what he meant, maybe I need to apply for Popes PR man or proof his speeches. In the end the Pope tries to blame poverty on economic inequality again walking that fine line of socialist communism that is going to bite Francis hard someday or make him a world leader.

Again from Charisma Anderson Cooper tries to tackle Larry Tomczak comments that Hollywood has an agenda. This video goes to show us just how out of touch silver spoon Cooper is to the real world.

Again from Charisma Magazine Larry Tomczak fires back at Ellen DGeneres in response to both Cooper and Ellen, this is a great video well worth seeing if you’re trying to defend traditional marriage.

And finally from Barb Wire John Kerry and James Taylor go on tour together in Paris to sing “you got a friend” to France. President could not make it so lets send singing Kerry and Taylor to smooth things over.

Like I said busy week in the news, I too churned out three blogs this week. Illogical and absurd Monday where I took some of the most illogical and absurd blogs and articles of the left and progressive and put them in more of a moral and ethical perspective fill free to take a look

To Canard is error to Reed is denied, I’m a big motocross and supercross fan I love off road motorcycles. Last week two racers Trey Canard and Chad Reed crashed into each other and I go over who was to blame and did the punishment and crimes make it all worthwhile for the both of them.

Ungrateful Success was my take on the American Sniper Michael Moore and Rogan jealousy freak out. Pretty much Moore is a liar and Rogan is a jealous coward read and you be the judge.

Little past halfway in the month and we here in California need rain!!! Yeah it’s been nice weather but we need rain. Also stay healthy there has been some nasty’s going around and people are getting sick so up that vitamin C if you will.

By this time now I’m sure everyone reading this has heard the hubbub stink that both Michael Moore and Seth Rogan gave to the fairly new movie American Sniper.

For those of you that purposely stay away from the media and don’t know who Michael More, Seth Rogan, Chris Kyle and the movie American Sniper is I salute you but here is what you should know.

Chris Kyle is the most successful American sniper ever with a confirmed 160 kills he is a true American hero. American Sniper is a movie that chronicles his life as a sniper, a service man and as a family man.

christ kyle

Michael More is a communist film maker that makes mainly hack movies that subvert the American way of life. He has little success in the film market which he makes and directs most of his own movies but I’m sure that’s fine because he’s hates the free market unless of course when they give him money to make movies then he has no problem spending those dollars.

"Roger & Me" Anniversary Screening - 2014 Toronto International Film Festival

Seth Rogan is a bit not so funny actor that obviously get jealous. Most of his movies he plays subpar hack and loves to show his disgusting naked body to filmgoers.

seth rogan

What is going on here in my opinion is ungratefulness in the part of both Moore and Rogan. Both have had on and off again success due to the fact they live in a free country where soldiers like Chris Kyle have pledged their life to defend.

My main complaint has to do with Rogan, while I do know and understand Moore is a cowardice communist so nothing surprises me I am a little taken back by Rogan’s ungratefulness to have a career in the movie industry that most will tell you it’s hard to make happen and stay in a position where people want to make movies with you.

Why I say Rogan is so ungrateful is last month he and fellow actor James Franco both stared in the movie “The Interview” in which their characters get a chance to interview Kim Jung Un of North Korea.

kim jon un

The plot was of the actual interview with Kim Jun Un but also both characters were asked by the CIA to assassinate the Korean leader and from there hilarity ensues or so they say.

When North Korea heard this movie was going to be shown they asked Sony Pictures to not show it since it depicted their great leader and country in a bad light.

Soon Sony was hacked and the North Korean government was accused of hacking and trying to sabotage Sony in retaliation.

Now Americans wanted to see this movie and Sony agreed to show it in limited release on Christmas day and the reviews sucked but it was to be expected

Most everyone felt it was going to be a dumb movie anyhow but it pretty much failed only bringing in about $20 million for the opening day mainly due to limited release, you had the option to see it in limited theaters or download it at home.

That whole week after the opening day the movie was touted as the movie everyone who believes in free speech and expression needs to see. Many conservative talk shows encouraged people to see the movie even though it was bad it sends a message to Kim Jung Un that the free world is not afraid. Sony, Rogan and Franco are heroes and symbols of free speech.

I was tempted as well to watch the movie as it was showing on my Direct TV pay per view and out of support for free speech I was ready to view knowing this was going to be bad movie none the less I would at least view it and spit in Kim Jung Un’s eye.

Well that was until Sunday the 18th when both Moore and Rogan tweeted some very disrespectful remarks of the movie American Sniper.

Mind you nobody says you have to like a movie, nobody expects you to sit through a movie an if you dislike it to not say something.

American Sniper is not like most movies it’s about an American serviceman that put his life on the line. When the movie came out most all the critics started saying “Oscar”, “Bradly Cooper Oscar”.

Moores remarks via twitter was this My uncle killed by sniper in WW2. We were taught snipers were cowards. Will shoot u in the back. Snipers aren’t heroes. And invaders r worse

— Michael Moore (@MMFlint) January 18, 2015

Not surprising from a communist like Moore and I really doubt Moor had an uncle in World War 2 he’s probably lying. Again I’m not surprised by Moore this is what you expect from a progressive socialist.

Later Rogan tweets this comment seth

Rogans comments are in my opinion the most disrespectful again you have a right to dislike a movie but this goes beyond just disliking the acting, or cinematography this was pure jealousy of probably actor Bradly Cooper and to the director and producers of American Sniper.

A little over 24 hours later after a storm of tweets to condemn his comments Rogan retweeted these

Seth Rogen        ✔ @Sethrogen

I just said something “kinda reminded” me of something else. I actually liked American Sniper. It just reminded me of the Tarantino scene.

2:55 PM – 19 Jan 2015

Seth Rogen        ✔ @Sethrogen

I wasn’t comparing the two. Big difference between comparing and reminding. Apples remind me of oranges. Can’t compare them, though.

2:59 PM – 19 Jan 2015

Seth Rogen        ✔ @Sethrogen

But if you were having a slow news day, you’re welcome for me giving you the opportunity to blow something completely out of proportion.

3:00 PM – 19 Jan 2015

So not only is Rogan ungrateful for staring in movies he’s very jealous when actors and movie’s do better than his do and when he gets called on the carpet for stupid remarks he does nothing but show no remorse but cower and insult more.

When it comes to Hollywood I’m not that big a fan of the internals that make up the industry. Yes I know Hollywood and most actors are flaming leftist with burning communist that keep the fires going.

I do love movies however and I do love movies that take the time to tell a story of the American individual like Chris Kyle

I don’t expect progressives to like, enjoy or ever see American Sniper but Rogans comments are pure jealousy and hate and thats not cool bro.

Normally I don’t ask people to join in on my protest but if you feel so incline

Sumrall122R ‏@122R1  9s10 seconds ago

Lets make @Sethrogen happy and never see his movies again they might make us jealous and tweet something that gets blown out of proportion.

Mr T

I think a lot of people have seen this clip from the HBO TV series “Newsroom”, when it came out it hit social media like a wildfire I must of saw it posted on Facebook at least 5 times each time getting a seal of approval from the average American. The thought was finally somebody in the media has made a stink on how our country has fallen, we are not the greatest country in the world but I ask compared to what are we not the greatest.

I personally think America fell from grace in 1973 when the Supreme Court legalized the killing of unborn children and all the states in the Union just sat back and allowed it.

The most defenseless of them all and now it’s open season to do what you want. But not everyone has turned their back on the unborn so I won’t speak in the terms of we because many of us don’t condone and do our best to refute this law.

Now with that said I then ask in compared to what is America not so great. Mind you for all those of you that think this was just a wonderful rant on the truth of where this country has gone remember this. HBO Time Warner is a very liberal progressive company that is very anti family, anti conservative and anti Christian. Remember HBO is the media outlet that gives Bill Maher his speaking platform to spread all his hateful lies so are you still glad HBO gave you a small little piece of happiness with this rant from the “Newsroom”.

Now mind you I’m not tearing into Jeff Denials he’s just an actor this is all Time Warner and Aaron Sorkin are the ones trying to fool people into thinking they know and understand Americans, well they don’t.

Denials character “Will” rants that freedom is enjoyed by lots of countries and yes in nature the concept of freedom is enjoyed but have you ever been to those counties. Most have a tax system that would blow your mind; the average tax rate in those countries is 60% while Americans enjoy an average 18%. Tax rate but I guess if you’re a progressive everyone is just a selfish to want to keep your own money.

“Will” goes on to spout about the high mortality rate of children in America. The infant mortality rate in the rant is backwards, yes we are 173 but that’s the number from worst to best worst being number 1 in which Afghanistan is the leader.

Also doctors in other countries look at premature birth deaths as medical waist, child death is not counted but overlooked because if a child is dies at birth or not in full term it does not count not so in America we count every statistic.

Next we get the whine about what America use to be and what it stood for, well in the 1950’s America was recovering from a depression and a world war. In the 50’s Americans finally got to reach what was known as the American dream of owning their own home about 50% owned a home.

In the 1960’s America began the journey to explore space and put a man on the moon. In the process it put a strain on communist relations and started the economic destruction of the Soviet Union.

moon land

In the 70’s America lost its battle to being the country of right when the Supreme Court allowed abortion but this did not mean the People that lived in America has lost grace completely this now meant we knew where to draw a battle line.

In the 1980’s we put the noose on the Soviet Union and by the 1990’s a defeated evil empire. In the 90’s we developed a mass communication for the world with the internet and in the millennium America was punched in the gut September 11 2001 but we rebounded and helped protect not only our country but those of the free world from terrorism and radical Islam.

Yes right now we are going through a rough patch but this is where Sorkin and HBO lack the intelligence of understanding the American. Denials character “Will” references to America by what is seen by mass media and not what is done by the individual.

“Will” rambles on saying “we built great things”, ever heard of the freedom towers, the internet is faster and more powerful than when it was invented, the Iphone has more power than lunar space capsules did in the 1960’s. We found a cure for Ebola when we needed it the most. Groups like Samaritan’s Purse are feeding the hungry and caring for the sick worldwide and its individuals that help Groups like Samaritan Purse to succeed.

You see HBO and Sorkin has “Will” only seeing the country and not seeing the content of the country. They don’t see the individual and the daily sacrifices he and she go through. They don’t see the charity and triumphs the individual makes in his and hers life they only see what is reported and have no concept of what the American is and does.

No America is not the greatest nation it once was but I ask you what are the greatest nations, the 180 that have freedom, China, Cuba are they the greatest. What country does not strive to be like America and what country is beating people down at their borders, Spain, Holland what country Aaron Sorkin and HBO?

End of the week not too much in the news this week other than Sony motion pictures getting hacked again. Mind you this is not the first time they got hacked, this is like the third time and they keep doing nothing but keep the front door of their computer system open.

The FBI says it was the North Koreans in retaliation to the Movie the Interview, they say the North Koreans because they supposedly investigated it and all the evidence shows signs of North Korea. Well a few things, if it was North Korea then it was the NK’s government because nobody does anything in that country without the blessing of the government.

But was it really the North Korea government, I mean if you’re going to hack a big company like Sony would not you try and blame somebody else that is if you’re a good hacker. Maybe North Korea did not hack Sony but have no problems taking the blame.

1 North Korea will take the blame happily because it makes them look more technologically bigger than they probably really are. 2 It not only makes them look bigger and badder than what they are but they got the movie cancelled. 3 Have you ever seen the movie Team America

either Kim Jong-un is pretty smart and quick to respond to bad movies or Kim Jong-il was technologically in the stone age and wishes  he was Kim Jong-healthy right now (I think I’m correct on #3)

I actually was pretty productive on the computer this week and was able to publish four blogs.

The Gift of Honest Integrity: Based off a post a coworker posted on Facebook that quoted Proverbs chapter 2 verses 7, I basically expanded it and encompassed Proverbs chapter 1 to 11. The chapters from King Solomon the wisest man at the time and maybe ever stated if we follow and obey God and his word he will give us common sense and the integrity to walk with.

Blog 2 Progressive Blindness: A follow Christian Blogger who is obvious a liberal leftist posted a blog on why conservative Christians can’t be true Christians because conservatism is not Christ like. I disagree and rebuttal with my own blog stating that conservatism is the foundation of what Christians should follow and progressive thought while is emotionally intent on good follows not God but disrespect Gods law.

Blog 3 How We Got Here: Based on the small talk around the water cooler about the CIA reports of America’s involvement in torture of prisoners of war after the September 11 2001 attacks. I think there is more to here than what meets the eye and I try to map out how Got America to this point were we would use torture to keep us all safe at night.

Final blog was my movie review of Exodus Gods and Kings, not that good of a movie fell short of being an epic Biblically great movie by allowing an atheist to direct this great story.

As ChristMas gets close only a few more days everyone stay safe, maybe slow down on the liquid partying a bit so some of us can drive to and from work safely.

Please remember what ChristMas means, and I just read a blog today that said the saying “happy holidays” was based on Holy Days so Happy Holy Days as well.

This day December 25th is yes not Jesus’s real birthday we don’t know the exact day so it was chosen December 25th. And no matter if you think it was some compromise with the pagans to share this day remember this. We don’t really celebrate the winter solstice unless you’re a pagan witch, we celebrate ChristMas, Jesus’s birthday.

It was that day some 2000 + years ago that God allowed us back into his eys and to live forever again. If you don’t know what I’m talking about please by all means get a Bible and read the first four books of the New Testament Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. Read Matthew and Luke to know the ChrisMas story and read Mark and John to know why God sent his son for us. Go to a good healthy church and ask what does Jesus birth really mean.

Happy Holy Days and Merry ChristMas see you next year.

Mr. T-

Exodus Gods and Kings the second major biblical motion picture made this year using “A” list actors and an atheist director. The story of Moses and the Exodus is a great story written firsthand account by Moses himself and it’s a wonder why Ridley Scott refused to just make Exodus based on what was wrote in the actual Exodus.

Read it for yourselves Exodus chapter 2 through chapter 14 it’s an amazing account that should have been used but I guess if director Scott did he had to either except this was a complete historical event that reads like a fairytale or supernatural; or believe there really is a God.

Unlike the movie Noah Exodus Gods and Kings does follow the book of Exodus pretty closely, there are a few scenes where Scott’s atheistic view points are thrown in and it’s is why I believe Scott did not follow the book completely because if he did like I say he would have to admit there is a God.

Because the movie left some parts of the actual Exodus out it makes the movie lack its full potential and in my opinion never reach that status as an epic movie.

The parts that were left out and I’ll tell you because it does not spoil the movie and this way if you have not yet seen it you can compare and have your own opinion.

Left out: They never give the history of how Israel became slaves of Egypt. Scott leaves out some important events that happened at the burning bush. God gives Moses signs with his staff and cloak to convince Moses he is talking to God.

Moses is portrayed as an atheist, he believes in himself not God. Although Moses does what God tells him the movie paints a picture that Moses never completely understands who God is.

Left out: Aaron and how much God used him to help Moses drive his message from God to Pharaoh also the fact Aaron is told by God to meet Moses in the wilderness is left out.

Yes Aaron is in the movie and played by Andrew Tarbet but was mainly an observer of what Moses was doing. In real life Aaron was Moses’s voice and with Moses’s staff in Aaron’s hand God invoked the plagues something the movie never shows.

I believe the reason why Scott never shows how the plagues are really started based on Exodus is the director was trying to explain scientifically how these plagues could have happened without God.

Scott actually tries to explaine in a scientific way by one of Pharaohs advisers on how the plagues could happen, this is another atheist point of view. No God just freaks of nature happened maybe God allowed it or just freaks of nature you the audience be the judge.

God is shown in a child form while the book of Exodus clearly states he came to Moses as a burning bush once and talks to him several times throughout the Exodus it is not known if God showed himself in human form.

Most likely not since in Exodus chapter 33 verses 18-20 God tells Moses nobody can see his face and live. Nowhere in the Biblical Old Testament does God show his face, he uses Angles, profits and sometimes objects to talk to people but he never talks face to face to man.

Exodus Gods and Kings is a cinematically stunning movie visually, the acting is A + with Christian Bale as Moses, Joel Edgerton as Pharaoh Ramses and John Turturro as Pharaoh Seti. Where the movie fails is in the story.

If Gods and Kings had followed the book of Exodus this probably would have been an even more visually stunning historical accurate movie about how a man trusted God and defeated a great nation.

Director Scott’s atheist view pot shots are riddled throughout this movie making this a very dangerous movie to take your kids to without some discernment.

My suggestion is read Exodus chapter 1 through chapter 14 it will give you the much needed information to take with you to the movie. I suggest maybe you read it with the whole family before you go, together study it and have a Q and A session as well. Be well educated before you take your kids to this movie.

If you want to see a good movie with good actors about a great story then Exodus Gods and Kings is worth seeing. If you are going because you want to see a good Biblical movie with “A” list actors then this is not for you, you will be disappointed with what director Scott left out.

I give Exodus Gods and Kings 2.5 stars it reached out for greatness but was much too short for goodness.

my day

End of the week again halfway through December and almost the end of the year. As I type this we here in Nor Cal and Northern Nevada are supposed to be in the mist of what is dubbed the storm of the century and outside my window it’s just cloudy with maybe a promise of more rain to come. Even more reason why I beg people to not put your trust of weather and climate from man it will always bite you, sometimes hard sometimes just a nip but it will always bite you.

In the news Jonathan Gruber the smartest man in MIT that helped build the ACA (Obama Care) and calling the average American stupid faced some payback justice with a hearing on Capitol Hill. What is even more disturbing is that Gruber is now on record as saying that abortion is a “social good” due to the claim that it reduces the number of “marginal children” what is the definition of marginal children well think, the progressive ideology is saying poor people don’t count and they need abortion to keep more poor children from being introduced into our society that cost us and our government more dollars, kind of sad that one would view a life based on reducing its cost instead of life as a miracle and joyous that should be saved and protect at all cost.

Our smartest woman in California Dianne Feinstein put most everyone and all of our foreign dignitaries and military men and women at risk when she released the senate CIA report a few days ago. The report just stated what we all knew with regards to torture being done to capture war criminals in regards to our September 11th 2001 attack in New York City. 911-conspiracyAmerica did what it needed to do, if anything we should have done more. Bush failed us in the fact he did not allow Americans to invest themselves more into the 911 attacks like America did after the Pearl Harbor attack of 1941. I believe because of this a division was allowed to happen and Americans quickly forgot why we invaded Iraq and Afghanistan. Some 13 years later some view this invasion a mistake and I believe if Bush had made this more of a personal attack on each American and his and hers Freedom we would have a different view and maybe had a less decisive government that seems to attack our freedom for power.

This week I published two blogs first one entitled I BLAME YOU MR. FARRAKHAN, MR. SHARPTON AND MR. JACKSON; I blame the deaths of Travon Martin, Eric Garner and Michael Brown on the lack of leadership that Louis Farrakhan, Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson have brought to the American Black community. Second blog WE WOULD MISS YOU is based off a post that a FB friends posted. Something that is real in the hearts of certain people but is rarely looked at from their point of view and I felt it needed to be said so those who suffer with anxiety, depression, and loneliness would know there are people out there that do care.

Movie to see this Christmas month is a good one called “It happened on 5th Avenue” The Christmas movies should start churning out about now and this is a good one. Very much like “It’s a wonderful life” as a matter of fact Frank Capra was offered the movie and turned it down. It starts off a bit slow but stick with it because the middle half to the end it really gets going and although it’s a bit 1947 corny at times it drives home some real good points about love, greed and the pursue of freedom.5th

Not a bad week this week gave me and I hope you were dealt the same. I’ll be heading into the new week working a bit then off to deliver some gifts to the family and hopefully enjoying the movie Gods and Kings. I know it will be Biblically unsound but with Bale as Moses it should be at least entertaining and that my friend is the lowdown of the week.

Have not done a movie review in awhile so let us kind of step aside from the realities of life and check out some good movies that deserve some attention.

I have two movies I am reviewing and they fall under the Chiller Horror genres the second maybe even in the slasher area of movies.  Both movies fall under classics or maybe one does while the other is at least a cult classic should be anyways. Some of you may have or may not have seen these two great chillers and both worth your time to see them.

bad seed

First movie entitled the THE BAD SEED, directed by Mervyn LeRoy and starring Nancy Kelley and Patty McCormack. Made in 1956 this black in white movie is a must see, considered a horror mystery the movie takes place in any town USA. A perfect loving daughter is what we are to believe but is she really. Bad-Seed-movie_l

What makes the movie so good is it’s mainly shot in one place the home of the Penmark family. There are a few scenes outside of the house but most of the movies takes place in the family home. The movies dialogue and the acting of both Nancy Kelley and Patter McCormack is outstanding.Kelly McCormack The Bad Seed 1956

McCormack plays the perfect daughter or so we think and as the movie progresses you start to wonder what is really going on Kelley is a mother in denial at first but comes to the conclusion she may bore a bad seed. You never get to see the incidents that happen but the dialogue is so good it paints the picture for you. This is a five star movie and a must see if you love chiller mysteries. Black and white movie, no foul language or gory scenes so the whole family can view and the ending is quite good and classic of the Hollywood style.

boody birthday

Next movie titled BLOODY BIRTHDAY and yes it is, 1981 movie that takes place in Meadowvale probably a fictional town in the west. This low budget movie is in my view a cult classic. Acting is fair dialogue is fair everything is fair but this is a classic late 70’s early 80’s horror/slasher/chiller flick. You sit down and watch this and be prepared you might start laughing, this is not the type of classic horror slasher that has you ready to jump and run but more of a horror slasher that has you ready to chuckle.bb1

The lead actors are Susan Strasberg and Jose Ferrer but the real stars are the thee killers. The movie starts off in 1970 as a solar eclipse is happening three births in the same hospital happen as well. Fast forward to 1980 10 years after the birth these three children go on a killing spree. The movie uses the concept of astrology to give a reason why such sweet little kids would be so evil. These three 10 year old lovelies are evil making the children of “Village Of The Damned” seem tame. This is classic crazy horror cult movie  and in my opinion a must see.bb2

Some 1980’s nudity, PG-13 language at times not a kids movie because of it and it’s a shame they didn’t need it. I give this movie 3 1/2 stars worth watching with your friends and spouse for just fun and laughs.

Note these movies are classics you wont find them in your local Red Box I viewed them on TCM so if you get a chance to see these do so they are well worth your time to enjoy.

First let’s put this movie in order, I’m in my 40’s so I’m a big fan of the old Godzilla movies the traditional Godzilla films and I’ll stop there because if you have seen or are a fan of the old traditional Godzilla or monster movies of the 50’s-early 70’s then you get what I mean and saying more might spoil the movie for you.

As we see monster movies today the twentyteen’s bring us monsters that are demons, ghost, witches just plain devilish stuff that shocks you into fear. The old monster movies of Godzilla sci fi had their own style

monster 60

and a viewer of today sometimes just doesn’t get that but that’s progression and technology of the movies and it takes a good director and producer to make that style work in now day’s movies. This latest Godzilla 2014 directed by Gareth Edwards achieves this and he does it in A+ fashion.

Over the last 15 years there has been some attempts to return Godzilla to the big screen but it’s failed every time sorry Ferris Bueller and Apu

your 1998 Godzilla is cow dung compared to this newest fire breathing lizard that is awesomer that awesome.

If you seen the commercials of the latest Godzilla 2014 film you don’t see the real movie you only get a glimpse of what will come.

Bryan Cranston of Breaking Bad and Malcolm in the middlegodzilla3

is not the star of the movie but his character packs a big punch and in the whole scheme of things it was a brilliant move to have Cranston cast for this movie, this is definitely one of those films where the movie trailer and the commercials do not come close to what you will see in the theater.

What is great about this movie is not only is it a traditional Godzilla film but its pro family, pro American military family and really promotes sacrifice for the greater good by our proud men and women of the armed forces. You are proud we have such fine men and women that are willing to defend its people even if it means dying to do so and the destruction of San Francisco is great, I would have rather seen Oakland destroyed but hey when you’re making landmarks so other states and countries can get the visual I’ll give it a pass.

Godzilla 2014 is a great movie it’s rated PG 13 but could have been rated PG or PG 6. I don’t remember any foul words no sexual innuendos. People do die but what do you expect when monsters are destroying things and you have to stop them, guns and bombs ablazing people do get smashed and die so if you’re trying to shield your child from violence then don’t see the move. If you have a normal kid that loves monsters then you will love this movie. Godzilla is a great father and son movie and if your girls like giant lizards too even better take the whole family you will love it.

I’ll give you one spoiler hint, when Godzilla is tired he takes naps. You’ll understand when you see the movie. Rating this movie I give it 4.75 stars out of 5 it’s that good, if you want and intellectual thinking monster movie stay home, if you want an awesome fun movie that brings back the old style Godzilla then see this movie you will love it.

No on Noah

No on Noah

I have to say I wasn’t expecting this movie to be just this bad, I did expect there to be some Hollywoodism or theatrical license I mean the book of Genesis only uses basically four chapters Genesis 6-9 and some of chapter 10 so should be an easy task to make a movie about Noah and the flood you would think that.
Now where do I begin well I guess I should say I went and saw Noah with my wife and two friends of mine and no we don’t know everything but we do have a good grasp on the Bible and Gods word and when all four of us exited that theater we all looked at each other and laughed then my friend asked “well what do we think”. The first word the popped in my mind was heresy.
Not only did this movie base Noah very loosely in the words of the promoters of the film it added and changed everything. Yes a man named Noah built an ark and yes it rained on the earth and that’s it everything else was changed and or modified so much that in my mind it’s pretty much heresy.
One of the things I felt Noah projected was three main themes. 1. The historical account of man and his wickedness. 2. God’s judgment of evilness and how he will not tolerate total wickedness of mankind. 3. God’s love for his creation, his love for man. That God loved man and his earth so much that he allowed a flood to wipe out total evil so all of man and the earth could be saved and one day able to walk with God again just as Adam and Eve once did. This movie never really touched any of these issues.
So I start with Genesis 6:5 man is wicked. Man is so wicked that every intent every thought was evil. It’s hard to comprehend this but basically all that natural law that was good was evil in the eyes of man and all of natural law that was evil was tolerable. Gen 13 God tells Noah to build an ark and gave him the detentions. In the movie God gives Noah a dream that he will wipe out the earth and from there Noah figures out how to build the ark. Many times throughout the movie Noah misinterprets what God has told him and he’s seen as an environmental nut case. In Genesis God tells Noah he does not give him a dream or vision.
How does Noah build an ark, well he his family and the Watchers build the ark…. Wait, watchers what are watchers. In the movie watchers were explain themselves as lights of God came down to keep an eye on Adam and Eve but God punished them and sent them to the earth into the dirt and rock and thus you get a rock monster.
Nowhere does this occur in Genesis, one could even interpret that these watchers are fallen angels or Demons that God kicked out of his heaven. Revelations 7 states this and you might say is not Revelations about the future and I would say no it’s prophecy and like the old testament it gives history and prophecy. If in God walked in the Garden of Eden with Adam and Eve why would they need watchers?
Noah and his family, Noah has a wife, and three sons that have wives. Our movie has Noah with his wife and three sons, Shem the oldest is the only one with a wife. Biblical Noah’s sons each had a wife that with Noah and his wife were on the ark and went fourth and became fruitful and multiplied. Another theatrical liberty taken was the fact Noah closed the ark, God closed the ark. Noah was able look out and the horizon walk in and out of the ark. Although Moses was not clear on this when he wrote Genesis it does say a window was built and used to send birds out to find land.
These may seem like small gripes on my part but they are important. At one part in the movie Noah tells his family how God made the earth and why it was so important that man was instructed to take care of it. The movie in my mined insinuated evolution and whether or not you believe in a young earth or an old earth most all Christians will agree that that God created life not evolved life.
In all the total of gutted points in this interpretation of Noah: Watchers, Evolution, one wife compared to three wives for all three sons, stowaway on the ark, Noah misinterpreting God’s instructions and acting like a complete lunatic and I’m probably missing more oh yah I forgot about Noah’s grandfather Methuselah had healing powers.
Noah the movie lacks everything except acting, Crow and Connelly and the rest of the cast act top notch I can’t complain there. The movie takes Genesis 6-10 and literally guts it, and if you want to say this is a movie loosely about Noah and the flood then I would say it’s so loose the wheel fell off and is rolling down the hill.
The only way this movie could ever be considered good is if somebody see this and challenges the movie story line by buying or picking up a bible and reading it for themselves.
Do not see this movie; out of a 5 I give the movie a 0
This is my opinion and normally I would say go and make your own decision but trust me this movie is best never viewed.

My editorial opinion on the Dallas Buyers (blamer’s) Club

Finally sat down and watched the Dallas Buyers Club, I decided to see it for a few reasons, one everyone was saying it was a great movie (not because that alone is why I watch a movie) and I was in my teens when all this was happening and I’m a history buff. This is an opinion editorial review of the movie and what I believe some of the themes that shouted out at me.

Was the movie good? I think it was fair but let me expand on that. Matthew McConaughey and his character alone is what made this movie. Jared Leto did a fine job for best supporting actor but before Lato’s character came on scene it didn’t matter and when Lato’s character died you soon forgot there was a Rayon. If McConahghey had not performed as well as he did none of the other characters would have mattered.

One thing I kept hearing is how sad it was for Ron Woodroof and Rayon but I have to tell you I was not sympathetic to either character. I did like how the director showed the reality of the bad behavior both Ron and Rayon had been involved with. Drugs, elicit unprotected sex with multiple partners. With that kind of behavior I can’t be sad for either one and nor should anyone.

One of the reason I call it the Dallas Blamers Club is nobody took responsibility for their actions. They constantly blamed others like the FDA and doctors keeping people afflicted with AIDS from getting proper treatment. They never once admitted that maybe their way of life had brought them to this predicament. Yes the FDA is slow but it’s a government bureaucratic agency.

I remember when this was all going down, I remember when Rock Hudson died and how the media painted this picture of AIDS being a plague of some kind that  maybe anyone could get. then it  was the gay disease and anyone playing with this kind of fire was fair game. I also remember a friend dying of cancer and pretty much did that same thing these chaps did. She would fly to Mexico for treatment with drugs and vitamins that the U.S. would not sell or prescribe and then fly back home. I only remember of one time ever being stopped for all the pills she brought back and it was only once and she never had a problem again so makes me wonder just why Mr. Woodroof had such a tough time getting across the border and also that fact that only one MD. in the entire world knew how to treat AIDS and he’s in Mexico?

I probably would have given this movie more favor if it would have taken more responsibility for the way its characters had lived their lives. I mean maybe it’s not a good thing to do drugs, drink excessively, and have unproductive sex with multiple partners. You see these people with a disease that they will die from and there is sadness but only in the fact that there is no treatment; just blame. The sneaky truth is there is, it’s called don’t do IV drugs, don engage in unproductive sex with multiple partners stay in monogamy. The sadness should have been showcased on how lost these people were, that the lack of morality and God had so distorted their lives they had no place to go but to blame somebody else.

I would give this movie three stars out of five and only because of McConaughey character and performance. There is the fact that showcases Woodroof’s entrepreneurialism by trying to overcome the odds and make money too and that’s always a positive thing but really there isn’t much good that comes from this movie only blame.

Do I recommend people seeing this movie, yes its worth seeing if you’re a McConaughey fan and no kids this is an adult movie. The character is memorable there are a few scenes that you kind of wonder though but for $5.00 to rent it I say watch it but with an open mind on morality.
