Time to go to war with Islam or with those evil sects that Islam breads”, this is the easy way for people, heads of states and leaders of countries to say yet most never attempt.

It’s a complete symptom of when people and  countries that deny God in order to maintain that it is fair and just for everyone all the while allowing sects of religions and beliefs that has no real regard to humanity just its own to grow and live unassimilated and in contempt of lives and countries that all the while have taken them in, fed them and protected them.

The easy way out is “let’s go to war” but how many times has mankind done this. How may people have shed blood over and over to beat back evil but never confront and deal with evil.

Because if they confront one form of evil they will have to eventually confront another from, a form that is much closer to home. A form of evil they themselves have taken in, fed and protected all the while that evil has had no regard for them and their families and is in contempt of their lives, their states and their countries

The hard way that few, if any want to try will requires people to admit secularism, humanism and naturalism and all the idols of their personal lives have failed. The hard way is for people to say “it’s time we repent” and start converting them to follow Jesus.

Romans 14:11 or it is written,“As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.”

 

A COMMON SYMPTOM, STATEMENT 2

A COMMON SYMPTOM (10 statements  unbelievers don’t believe about the Bible)

This in respond to a blog that was posted some time ago on a Christian blog forum by a professing Christian that obviously does not really believe in true Christianity.  The blogger made 10 statements that they did not believe about the Bible and what I found is these are not just statements or beliefs from Christians on the theological fence but these are statements that unbelievers would make as well in fact these statements are nothing new.

Because these statements are common in today’s world view I will take each statement as its own otherwise this can become a long drawn out blog so in order to keep your attention we will focus one statement at a time and this is statement 2, you can check out my first blog on these statements at A COMMON SYMPTOM, STATEMENT 1

“I don’t believe the Bible explains the time and manner of earth’s creation and population accurately. The Creation accounts in Genesis are not scientific writings designed to instruct, as much as they are poetry and song meant to inspire. They should not be read as a literal explanation of the fashion or timetable of what Science clearly tells us were the far older and more gradual evolution of life than a literal Biblical translation contends. Genesis 1 and 2 are a who story, not a how story.”:

Understandably one who lacks faith and trust in God will question God’s creation. If we cannot believe the Bible is the real inspired word of God then how can we believe God created all things much less in 6 days.

There is much debate in the creation theater; secular science today has muddied the waters that have divided Christians on how many days to how many billion years old the earth is. One thing is for sure Genesis is not a who story but a real account on God creating the universe, the earth and its inhabitants.  Nehemia 9:6 and Acts 14:15 

There is a debate on how many years the earth is and it falls under good credible conversation. Both Greg Koukle and Ken Ham have a radically different perspective on the earth age yet both will agree Genesis is a story on how and why God created the earth Christians can agree on this.

People that do not believe in the sufficiency of the word of God will of course be incline to believe the account of Genesis is poetry and song and a story of who. The problem with people that do not consider the Bible as the sole word of God is the who is only two people when in fact the who needs to be on more than a man and a woman, there is a creator involved and eventually a redeemer involved.  Isaiah 44:24 “Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer,  who formed you from the womb: “I am the Lord, who made all things, who alone stretched out the heavens, who spread out the earth by myself”

The complete understanding of God’s time table is not needed fully. Understand even today when secular science throws out time tables it is not concrete but a theory. Science uses dating that can be fallible; there is not exact perfect way to date God’s creation.

Some Christians use God’s word (Bible) along with archaeology, the flood and other scientific anomalies like volcano and earthquakes to help date while other Christians use stars and light years to help their definition of the date of the earth. Either way does not diminish what God has created and how he created and why he created.

To say the Genesis account of the earth population states that writer of Genesis is not in literal is to have no credibility.  When you make a statement like what is made in first statement “I don’t believe the Bible was dictated by God” then we can fully understand why a person cannot believe in the full account of Genesis 1-2 and how man and woman flourished.

If Genesis and the Bible is not a full account of how and why God made everything do we then fall back on the worlds view of evolution and big bang and if so then how did that start and as a Christian would then one begin to compromise the word of God. To not completely understand how society became many is to deny how God made his creation or a coward of the truth.

It was Martin Luther that said “ But, if you cannot understand how this could have been done in six day then grant the Holy Spirit the honor of being more learned than you are” Simply stated we know what we know because God lets us know.

A COMMON SYMPTOM ( 10 statements unbelievers don’t believe about the Bible)

The other day a blog popped up  focusing on 10 statements that this Christian (this being the writer of the blog) does not believe about the Bible on one of the Christian Blogger feeds, what sparked my attention was that the blogger known for his liberal stand in Christianity. Further reading one can come to the conclusion that if this person was a Bible believing Christian this blog would be considered heresy.

Why I’m writing this blog is not to tear down this blogger but to show the lack of understanding of Christianity and what it means to follow Jesus and to show these statements are nothing new but a common symptom of  people that truely do not either believe or understand The God of the Bible and and or what it means to be a Christian.

Whether you are a non believer or a believer that is on the theological fence of Christianity I would like to contrast what our blogger here has written and show what Christians know to be true. Feel free to read the article for yourself to decide where you stand on the faith and words of Jesus Christ, God, the Holy Spirit and the faith of Christianity.

Because these statements are common in today’s world view I will take each statement as its own otherwise this can become a long drawn out blog so in order to keep your attention we will focus one statement at a time and this is statement 1

“I don’t believe the Bible was dictated by God. The sixty-six books comprising the Bible were composed by flawed, imperfect, emotional, very human beings who never claim to have been fully possessed by God or robbed of their faculties as they wrote. This means that however virtuous or well-meaning or inspired they might have been, they can’t help but have brought some of themselves into the writing.”

This is a common belief by non believers and a belief by what we call “so called Christians”, liberal Christians and Universalist. 2^nd Timothy 3:16 squashes this idea “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness”

If a person argues the Bible is not true and that goes for historical and scientific evidence then the argument is over because that kind of logic then must be taken for all books written on history or science, philosophy then become the only thing we can trust. You will find it hard to have a conversation with someone that does not believe the Bible is based on real event no matter how historically accurate it is.

Throwing the historical and scientific evidence aside we as Christians must believe beyond historical and scientific evidence. We must believe the Gospel is the inspired word of God, all 66 books are by God and point to Jesus and that is our faith that justifies us for his Grace.

If the Bible is true then it is all true otherwise it is all a lie. You cannot say “well some of it is true based on the historical documents” but the rest is hocus pocus. If you take that route you then have to define what is real and what is not, all historical and scientific references are real but the rest is well interpretation.

You now are going on a cherry picking search for evidence that only satisfies you and your own morality; the Bible then becomes useless and offers no real good substance for anyone but only what I need for my wants and needs and makes my arguments valid.

If we are going to take the Bible, the scriptures as the sole word of God as it is intended then we must answer this statement based on the sole authority of the scripture and not just ones opinion or good thoughts.

The statement above rejects the Bible as being the sole authority of the scriptures being the word of God and if you take that line of thinking then the rest of the statements that I will go over will easily make sense to anybody because the above statement is saying yes there might be a God but the Bible is not his only word so you cannot trust it alone.

Exodus 31:18 says God not only spoke with Moses but used his finger to write the 10 commandments. Are we to believe Moses just made up the commandments used his own thoughts of what they the 10 Commandment should be, can you see the absurdity to this.

With that logic anyone could rewrite or add to the basics of these commandments. When we stop and say “the Bible is not inspired” or “the Bible is not the word of God” then that person has to ask what is the Bible for? Good thoughts and inspiration?

Christians that believe this sort of theology normally enjoy the words of Jesus and few will attack his word but you cannot then say “the Bible is not the inspired word of God” without making the statement Jesus is not God. When you say or think the Bible is not the sole word of God you then attack the word of God. When you attack God you attack the Holy Spirit and when you attack the Holy Spirit you attack Jesus; if you attack one part of God you attack all three persons of God.

In John 14: 1-14 Jesus is saying if you see him you see the father (God). What was John adding to this verse. Was he repeating what Jesus actually said or was John trying to add or advance  his own wants and needs to this verse so it reads Jesus is God. If we are to believe John added his own thoughts and not the inspired words of the Holy Spirit then we have to question was Jesus God; something non believers want to be questioned.

2^nd Peter 1:16 “For we did not follow cleverly devised myths when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty”

For a person to think the Bible is not inspired by God is a person that does not believe in God nor do they believe in Jesus as the Son of God. Peter is saying we the disciples  witnessed everything, if we are to believe Peter is making some of this up or adding his own biases and is not inspired solely by God then 2^nd Peter is a fraud, correct?

Romans 1: 1-4  Paul, a servant^[a] of Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle, set apart for the gospel of God, ² which he promised beforehand through his prophets in the holy Scriptures, ³ concerning his Son, who was descended from David^[b] according to the flesh ⁴ and was declared to be the Son of God in power according to the Spirit of holiness by his resurrection from the dead, Jesus Christ our Lord

Paul declares Jesus to be the messiah, Paul declares Jesus to be God, so if we are to believe this is not inspired but just Paul’s own thoughts and biases then Jesus cannot be God based on any of the New Testament writers.

The New Testament becomes a feel good book based on good philosophy and warm thoughts. Jesus death  was all symbolism and Steven died for nothing.

As we can see Paul validates Peter who validates John who validates Moses.

The statement above allows one to have his or hers own view on God, morality, right and wrong. The Bible is merely a yard stick to measure your own ideas. As long as they don’t hurt anyone we can use any good book that teaches right and wrong. Problem is where did those books get right from wrong and who said those right and wrongs are indeed right and wrong.

The above statement is a world view, not a Biblical or Godly world view. It allows you to turn away from God and view anything as good or bad. The above statement is saying the Bible is not “The Word of God”. This is a concept of a deity based belief that a God created the world in some way now it is up to us to figure it out. We can use Jesus, Buddah, or eastern religion to sort out things out.

COEXIST CAN ONLY CONTRADICT

You run across one of these stickers probably once a week on somebody’s Prius, most likely it’s a hippie or a sharp leftist but do you wonder is it possible to truly coexist with everyone and do these people really know what they are demanding.

Next to every “coexist” sticker should be a sticker that says “contradict”. Each belief contradicts the others belief making coexistence impossible.

Each belief demands exclusivity to that belief and that belief alone. Islam demands Allah is the only God, Jews their God is the only God, Hindi has many Gods but their belief of reincarnation is a must. Atheist demand naturalism and science is the only truth.

There is contradiction with all these beliefs so who do you follow, who will you give your life to?

Atheists believe there has to be proof to be something, seeing is believing. Yet no one has seen large scale evolution, no one has seen a big bang creating life out of nothing. Gravity just exists, no why or how it just exists. DNA is magic per Richard Dawkins but wait is not magic something that cannot be seen or understood?

Buddha was a Hindu that believed there was more; he abandoned the core beliefs of Hinduism and ended up mixing atheism with reincarnation. One has to die and die again to obtain nirvana a complete blowout of the mind where one ceases to exist there is no God.

Christians and Jews believe in a one true God but unlike Jews Christians believe the one true God sent his son Jesus to die for us so that we would be worthy. That through his death God now gives us salvation by his grace alone. John 14:6  and Acts 4:12  “And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved”.

COEXIST is either a complete insult or complete ignorance by one that is reaching for an end to free thought. COEXIST is not new it is the same exclusivity in the idea that no one is correct that there is no truth.

Without truth your ideas are invalid to my ideas, making the ability to truly coexist is impossible.

IGNORANCE OR DECEIT THE PROBLEM WITH LDS

both can be wrong but both cannot be right.

I’m writing this on the idea that people that identify themselves to be LDS faith are very good people in nature and if they would know and understand who and what they were fallowing maybe they would think twice about their calling. Maybe if they would open their Bible and read it, not just gloss over the pages but really read it and compare it to the Book of Mormons and ask questions, they might start understanding why they cannot call themselves Christians.

Joseph Smith the founder of the Mormons the Church of LDS was either a fraud trying to derail Christianity while making a buck or he is  much like Joel Osteen where he knows nothing of the Gospel and the Bible making up things as he ripped off scriptures or it possibly could be both .

Did Joseph Smith really see God and Jesus at the same time, The Gospel says he cannot John 1:18, Exodus 33:20
Either Smith is as equal to God and Jesus, he was being deceived or he is purposely deceiving people.

If we say the Bible is the inspired word of God so that every word is from God and we must do, this then makes Smith claim as incorrect that both God and Jesus visited him back in 1820, and this would now put Smith’s claim as being deceived or deceiving on purpose.

From a Christian point of view the LDS church cannot be considered Christian doctrine. Unlike Joel Osteen who seems to think Mormonism is just another form of Christianity most Christians educated in good Christian theology know this cannot be so,

Joseph Smith was being deceived or deceiving people either way the followers of the LDS church have put everything, all their hopes and beliefs I one man.

In contrast Christianity pins all its faith in one God and they trust many men and women that were inspired by the Holy Spirit and or witnessed and talked to Jesus himself. Every book and letter coincides with each other, no contradictions and the Bible’s reliability has stood the test of over 2000 years and over 5000 copies made. The Book of Mormon is less than 200 years old and has had over 4000 revision from the first copy published.

In Christianity there are no gold plates that would weigh 200lbs+ just two stone tablets that Moses wrote the Ten Commandments as instructed by God. There is only one God in three persons not one god of many gods and no we cannot become a god that was a lie Satan told Eve in the garden.

The book of Mormons was deciphered by Joseph smith after finding a seer stone and translating Egyptian hieroglyphics while the Bible is books, manuscripts and letters translated from Hebrew, Arabic and on to Greek. Not one man transcribed all that is in the Bible and Bible is written from people of all walks of life that are historically known to have lived on the earth.

Mormons are following a false Gospel some might even say not even a Gospel but a cult that uses parts of the Bible interwoven to its own book to deceive people and it has worked. Mormons are good people and it’s a shame to see them fall for this deceit but with that said this gives us the call to look at the Mormon as somebody worth saving. When they come to your door do you just cut them loose and say go away or do you talk to them?

I know it’s hard to have a conversation with a group of people that you may know nothing about their religion and their scripture but maybe you need to know a little about what they believe so you can better understand where they have been deceived. If your loved one or neighbor is a non believer will you not invest in helping them? It’s worth checking out where and how the Mormons go astray and having some love to want to talk with them about the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

WHO DO YOU FOLLOW?

1 Corinthians 6:12 I have the right to do anything,” you say—but not everything is beneficial. “I have the right to do anything”—but I will not be mastered by anything.

Whether we like it or not we humans follow something or somebody, we humans make a god out of something and we serve it.

I know if you’re an atheist, secularist or agnostic you will refute this claim but you would be lying to yourself.

The Christian tries to serve one god the God of the Bible but sometimes even the best intentions leads service to more than one master.

Hindi’s might serve or worship many Gods maybe even some gods that are not in the Hindu culture.

Atheist want to believe they serve no god, secularist hold on to this but it is not true we all serve someone or something otherwise your mind is dead to everything.

In general we all serve something, we all hold on to something whether we are proud of it or not we hold to something. Christian tell themselves God is my God but is he your only god?

Is fame what you seek, money, power, pleasure; these are gods to every person when they become the focal point of your life. As Christians we call this idolatry and what is an idol, it’s nothing more than a god to tide you over until you are fulfilled. Problem is these idols these gods won’t fulfill you they never have and never will. Acts 4:12; power and pleasure will not save you only Jesus can.

Christians that put God first in their lives will have a higher rate of personal success than putting other things or sharing God with other idols Proverbs 16:3 as a matter of truth we cannot share idols or God Matthew 6:24. We cannot serve two masters eventually we will throw away one and serve the other.

For the non believer who thinks God is for the weak minded you too serve something or somebody. How many are devoted to science and men like Hawkings, Dawkins or other persons of so called reason. How much time does pornography take your life, can you stay away from it from one day, two days, a week? Does money rule your house and your life, booze or drugs?

What about our toys and this goes for us all, motorcycles, cars, houses, how many of us obsess over these things so much they dictate where and what we do.

For the Christian sharing God won’t last but we can put our trust if we stand on Jesus to help us serve him and him alone. Proverbs 3:1-35 and 2 Timothy 2:15

For the Hindi or the Buddhist they care not that they follow more than one God, the Hindi expects it and the Buddhist might chalk it up to existence. Devout atheist want to deny any idea of a god is possible but one only needs to look how important idols are to the human. The human may not believe or except the idea of idolatry but that idea is irrelevant in reality especially if you believe you live in a world that is relative.

Who will you serve, people of power or influence (dictators, presidents, men of influence, rock starts celebrities) or pleasure (sex pornography, TV, maybe gambling) or will you reject them all and serve Jesus, the one that frees you from your idols. Galatians 3:22  But Scripture has locked up everything under the control of sin, so that what was promised, being given through faith in Jesus Christ, might be given to those who believe

TUESDAY MEMES 1

I saw this gem on a friend’s FB page some time ago and what intrigued me was it’s from AlterNet. If you do not know who AlterNet is you can check them out but I can give you the short version here. They are a liberal e-mag rag that does nothing to further the Gospel of Jesus Christ that I’m sure of.

On first glance you can see this is AlterNet pointing their finger at both the Christian and the atheist, “shame on you two for arguing so much on a petty subject while people or being slandered.

One only has to think its ISIS that is destroying the world and who are they destroying? I think they are called Christians and Jews or anyone that disagrees with ISIS. Yes ISIS has been destroying priceless artifacts and monuments but hey people are getting their heads chopped off for just believing differently of Islam.

First who is fighting over whom, both Christians and Jews both believe the one true God of the Bible who created the world. Even Islam believes one God created the world but I don’t see Christian Jews and atheist killing each other over it.

Atheists believe in a bang although science is finding more and more that such a bang can’t be. Islam ideology fits more in line with evolution; it believes in one God but allows evolution to work its magic as Richard Dawkins would call it as evolution does its creation of everything internal. Still I have yet to see atheist and Christians kill each other because one believes in magic and the other believes in  intelligent design.

So where is the fight, Christianity does not fight but holds to a belief in the God of the Bible creating the world. They hold that it should be taught in school whether it is science or philosophy they believe it holds a place in education.

It’s mainly the atheist, the secularist and the humanist that argue the creation of the universe. It’s those groups that fight both in and out of the classroom to ban the thought of Christianity from the conversation. Childlike men such as Lawrence Krauss who say parents that teach their children creation is a form of child abuse; anything goes unless it’s about God right Lawrence.

I have said as have others that Islam (ISIS) is more of a threat to the world than the small percentage of atheism and I still stand by that. I would love to see the atheist give up or at least be willing to have a coexisting conversation on how the world began but they will not in a public forum like education. Unlike the Christian it is not in the atheist/secularist  best interest and belief  to embrace a world not created by God.

Mind you Christians argue amongst themselves over how God created the universe and the world we live in but one thing they do agree on is God and God alone was the creator.

Yes there is debate amongst atheist on the big bang and evolution but the one thing that unites them is their belief that there is no God.

Can Christians and atheist stop fighting like AlterNet wants them to, considering whom AlterNet is I think they should take a page from the quote they stand on. The answer is no, because that is the world we live it.

Atheists fight for our hearts and minds, it asks us to believe their theories and study those theories founded mainly in conjecture.

Christianity fights for our hearts and minds, it ask us to believe in a God, in a way of life and to study that belief in a book known as the Bible. Transcripts that have been historically accurate (Bible). Christianity asks we give our lives to a God and believe in a man called Jesus that many eye witnessed and wrote about.

ISIS fights for our hearts, minds and body, it hates anyone that disagrees and will kill anyone that disagrees. I agree with Alan Shlemon from Stand to Reason with his most accurate statement on Islam. To paraphrase; Islam is hate and war hijacked by a minority of peaceful Muslims. ISIS will fight until something new and more powerful arrives. Islam will not stop because it has too much invested in its lie

No AlterNet, there will not be any compromise and not because Christians and Jews want war but because truth about God and Jesus are too important to put on a shelf for someone to knock it off and break it into a thousand pieces unrecognizable faith.

GENTLE CREED

1 Peter 3:15 “but sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and reverence.”
This is the apologist creed but let’s not define defense the wrong way.
This is not a license to argue or debate with anger but we are to give a defense with the same passion and definition that our walk with God is.
But unless our Lord is being defamed or slandered we do not debate but instead engage in conversation that will not only ask our guest to define their beliefs but also inspire them to seek out the truth in the Gospel.
