Can life begin out of nonexistence?
This is a question that has been in play for who knows how long, a debate that will rage on until Jesus returns if you are a Christian or to the end of your age if you believe in atheism, secularism or you’ll never really grasp life and you are into human spiritualism that allows you to just keep recycling yourself from one animal to another.
Some may consider this a deep question and maybe that’s why only two people on my Facebook responded. One friend felt it was way too deep before her coffee and my other FB friend posted “Depends on who you ask” and that is as true as it gets.
Can this question be answered to the content of everyone, most likely not? There are too many beliefs even if you segregated all them to three categories of faith you still would get three to five opinions maybe more.
Professor Alister McGrath Irish Apologist and Professor of science and religion at Oxford University comes to the conclusion that we cannot prove our beliefs, Christians, atheist, Islamist or Hindi cannot prove the existence of their beliefs so which one is more desirable to believe, which one is worth staking your life on?
Can nonexistence produce life, and if so why don’t we see it. We are told has happened and these people are all about seeing is believing but we have never seen it that I’m aware but we are told it happened once.
As a Christian view of “can nonexistence create life” and yes it can and did I just shake my head in disbelief that such a belief of “it did not” would be desirable to have faith in let alone stake my life on.
Unlike atheism true Christianity is not just a theory it is a way of life and practiced in everyday living.
The churches that feed the homeless with daily soup kitchens, organizations like Samaritans purse that send men and women all around the world to feed the hungry and attend the sick.
This is real practice of a real belief of a faith that I trust and many more stake their lives as they witness to Muslims and others in communist countries around the world. Naturalism/ atheism on a daily basis does none of this; it has nothing only theory that teaches we are just chemicals and cells that only feel with senses no moral and ethical conscious.
Of the three faiths that believe life does exist because of design, only two Judaism and Christianity believe in the same idea and designer; both share the same belief of what that designs purpose was for.
If we look at what King David wrote in Psalm 53:1 The fool has said in his heart, “There is no God,” They are corrupt, and have committed abominable injustice; There is no one who does good.
Now this is a widely used Psalm used by people when talking smack on those who do not believe in God and you wonder why people get defensive towards others that use this quote alone.
What really needs to be added to this Psalm is more of this Psalm. 53:2-3 God has looked down from heaven upon the sons of men to see if there is anyone who [c]understands, Who seeks after God. 3 Every one of them has turned aside; together they have become corrupt; there is no one who does good, not even one.
What King David is saying is those who say there is no God, denying that life was not designed by life are corrupt in the mind and soul.
They roll in the filth of this world and wonder why they and their world looks so dirty.
They do not repent from their misdeeds and because of this their hearts harden even more towards the idea that life cannot start without design so life must have begun out of nonexistence because they cannot comprehend any other way simply said by King David they are fools.
It’s quite interesting that the day I decided to blog on my “Facebook question of the day” I started the day out reading my daily Bible devotion and then I went on to read anothr daily devotional from the BGEA (Billy Graham Evangelistic Association) and the topic was “The Fool says in his heart there is no God” it went on to describe exactly what I just shared here. Call it chance like a secularist would or call it divine education I know what I call it but you are welcome to choose your own idea.
The question can never really be answered so everyone is satisfied because of the corrupt nature of the world we live in.
So maybe now we need to add a second question after the first question has been debated as “what belief is most favorable to you; what belief are you going to live for, something or nothing and what belief would you stake your life on?”.
