Riots in the street condoning law breakers and demanding those who protect the peace be punished how long will we go and allow people to blind Americans from truth.
2015 might even be rockier for Christian Americans not to mention Americans in general so I’m asking that you the individual pray each day for the next year. If you do nothing else in 2015 please pray for America, please pray for people to know and understand God’s salvation and will except his gift to all people.
Some people will rise and fight come 2015 and fight for the truth, they will fight for God’s moral and natural law. Some will rise and go unto all the world and attempt to make disciples of all men and women and some will do their best to expose the great lies Satan is trying to spread throughout the world.
Please pray for these people and don’t feel you are not doing anything or feel little.Little is much if God is in it, your prayers are more important than the actions of the few because without those prayers those actions could not act.
Finally I would like to mention some great organizations you can support with confidence that your prayers and money is going to a good place. The Billy Graham Association where your money will go to helping the Gospel is spread throughout the world.
Samaritans Purse, started by Franklin Graham this organization is feeding and helping the sick all around the world and finally if you want to keep your money close to home try the Salvation Army they have done more for Americans that any organization.
Please be with me and pray, whether it is before you go to bed, in the morning or during lunch please take 1 minute out of your day and pray for God’s hand on America and his hand on the world.
AMERICA IS NOT THE GREATEST COUNTY BUT COMPARED TO WHAT?
I think a lot of people have seen this clip from the HBO TV series “Newsroom”, when it came out it hit social media like a wildfire I must of saw it posted on Facebook at least 5 times each time getting a seal of approval from the average American. The thought was finally somebody in the media has made a stink on how our country has fallen, we are not the greatest country in the world but I ask compared to what are we not the greatest.
I personally think America fell from grace in 1973 when the Supreme Court legalized the killing of unborn children and all the states in the Union just sat back and allowed it.
The most defenseless of them all and now it’s open season to do what you want. But not everyone has turned their back on the unborn so I won’t speak in the terms of we because many of us don’t condone and do our best to refute this law.
Now with that said I then ask in compared to what is America not so great. Mind you for all those of you that think this was just a wonderful rant on the truth of where this country has gone remember this. HBO Time Warner is a very liberal progressive company that is very anti family, anti conservative andanti Christian. Remember HBO is the media outlet that gives Bill Maher his speaking platform to spread all his hateful lies so are you still glad HBO gave you a small little piece of happiness with this rant from the “Newsroom”.
Now mind you I’m not tearing into Jeff Denials he’s just an actor this is all Time Warner and Aaron Sorkin are the ones trying to fool people into thinking they know and understand Americans, well they don’t.
Denials character “Will” rants that freedom is enjoyed by lots of countries and yes in nature the concept of freedom is enjoyed but have you ever been to those counties. Most have a tax system that would blow your mind; the average tax rate in those countries is 60% while Americans enjoy an average 18%. Tax rate but I guess if you’re a progressive everyone is just a selfish to want to keep your own money.
“Will” goes on to spout about the high mortality rate of children in America. The infant mortality rate in the rant is backwards, yes we are 173 but that’s the number from worst to best worst being number 1 in which Afghanistan is the leader.
Also doctors in other countries look at premature birth deaths as medical waist, child death is not counted but overlooked because if a child is dies at birth or not in full term it does not count not so in America we count every statistic.
Next we get the whine about what America use to be and what it stood for, well in the 1950’s America was recovering from a depression and a world war. In the 50’s Americans finally got to reach what was known as the American dream of owning their own home about 50% owned a home.
In the 1960’s America began the journey to explore space and put a man on the moon. In the process it put a strain on communist relations and started the economic destruction of the Soviet Union.
In the 70’s America lost its battle to being the country of right when the Supreme Court allowed abortion but this did not mean the People that lived in America has lost grace completely this now meant we knew where to draw a battle line.
In the 1980’s we put the noose on the Soviet Union and by the 1990’s a defeated evil empire. In the 90’s we developed a mass communication for the world with the internet and in the millennium America was punched in the gut September 11 2001 but we rebounded and helped protect not only our country but those of the free world from terrorism and radical Islam.
Yes right now we are going through a rough patch but this is where Sorkin and HBO lack the intelligence of understanding the American. Denials character “Will” references to America by what is seen by mass media and not what is done by the individual.
“Will” rambles on saying “we built great things”, ever heard of the freedom towers, the internet is faster and more powerful than when it was invented, the Iphone has more power than lunar space capsules did in the 1960’s. We found a cure for Ebola when we needed it the most. Groups like Samaritan’s Purse are feeding the hungry and caring for the sick worldwide and its individuals that help Groups like Samaritan Purse to succeed.
You see HBO and Sorkin has “Will” only seeing the country and not seeing the content of the country. They don’t see the individual and the daily sacrifices he and she go through. They don’t see the charity and triumphs the individual makes in his and hers life they only see what is reported and have no concept of what the American is and does.
No America is not the greatest nation it once was but I ask you what are the greatest nations, the 180 that have freedom, China, Cuba are they the greatest. What country does not strive to be like America and what country is beating people down at their borders, Spain, Holland what country Aaron Sorkin and HBO?
Why attack religion and why don’t you spread the love when you do. For the past year there has been a law suites by atheist groups on nativity scenes, atheist group gets a Army Chaplin punished for sharing his faith and much more just type it in to your favorite search engine and enjoy and my question is why. Where were you the when they build the mosque on ground zero if you against religion.
Why do you care, seems to me if you really don’t believe in a God why do you spend so much time and money fighting something you don’t believe is real.
Another question why are you trying to break up the family, the above billboard has an oxymoron statement of a little girl writing to a fairy tale asking to skip church. For the most part families go to church. It’s normally a decision by both mother and father to take the kids to church.
For some it’s to learn and for others it’s to worship regardless it’s a family and even if it was not a family and only a parent taking his or her child to church the atheist community is telling children to just say no. Do not honor your parents’ wishes and say no.
The above billboard appears near where I live and if you really think about it this guy is right to saying question everything. But be honest everyone worships something; don’t think that anyone is free from that. You may not bow down to your money or to your addiction but everybody worships something.
Yes question everything, no real Christian can honestly say they walked in total blindness. God does not tell us not to ask questions he just asks us to believe in him. If the Christian faith was not filled with questions then we wouldn’t have the doctrines we have now.
Some feel baptism is important, some feel worshiping on the Saturday is important, speaking in tongues but what binds us together is one thing, the way to salvation.
We live in a free country thus far; the freedom allows us to worship and to belong to a religion like atheism, Islam, Christianity. Much of the free world allows worshiping your chosen God. So why are you the atheist demanding we take God out of a free society that condones God?
Countries that refuse to condone God are pretty much communist. God is not tolerated in China, North Korea does not allow God be worshiped or taught. Cuba and the former Soviet did not allow God why do want to convert a free country to communism.
I get you hate the idea of a God but don’t hate the people that believe, don’t hate a concept that has allows freedom.
You may think your humanism is freedom but it’s not, you’re bound to nothing and constantly looking for something that cannot be found. Don’t take that away from those who have found peace and don’t try and change a freedom that is founded on a Godly belief, why would you do that?
I was listening to the Glen Beck show a few nights ago and Glen was talking about when he had called an evangelical pastor to interview for his TV show The Blaze. Now mind you I am a fan of Mr. Beck, I think he falls in the top 3 to 4 for best political conservative commentator out there and one of the smartest conservative political minds right now.
With that said Beck knows nothing about religion and further more his combined social religious understanding is more like an impulsive person having his attention dragged from one idea to another.
Mr. Beck went on to say he called the pastor to talk about becoming a guest on the TV show and the pastor wanted to make it known that he and Mr. Becks religious views are different and he wanted to make that clear in the interview.
Beck said that made him feel ill and continued to tell us the audience of the radio program that “all I wanted to say to that pastor was “are you that small to have to say that”. Why can’t we be united in love” I’m paraphrasing the united part because I listened to it December 10th and I am not a member of the Blaze radio so I have no audio to get the exact quote.
What Beck fails to realize is Christians that believe in The God of the Bible cannot compromise in their faith, not for a TV show not for anything we are different.
Now don’t believe for one minute that I think Mr. Beck was chastising this pastor or don’t believe I think Mr. Beck was being a lovey dovy hippie with his remarks. What Mr. Beck feels and thinks is that conservatives that have common ground need to unite and that I agree.
What Mr. Beck does not understand is that Christianity has one way John 3:16 and we cannot change or differ in that way. Yes we do have common ground with many groups and religions but our faith and the way salvation is obtained is only one way.
Now you might be thinking what evangelical pastor was Glen Beck talking about and to be honest I do not know. I do have speculations since there was only one well known evangelical pastor that the Blaze interviewed in November but again it’s only speculation on my part.
With that said in November Evangelical pastor Ravi Zacharias was interviewed on the Blaze. Before the interview Zacharias did have ” statement “or more of a pray request before he went on The Blaze.
After the interview Beck stated “Yes we do have differences but Ravi and I agree that the Lord Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world”.
I disagree, Jesus came to save us and give us the individual salvation not the world. Jesus said he would turn families against each other for believing in him something people just don’t always understanding especially living in America. Matthew chapter 10 versed 32-42
There has been a push by Pope Francis to unite other religions to help stop the poor and feed the hungry and again we cannot compromise on our faith. Mark 14:7Jesus is trying to make a point for the disciples to take advantage of Jesus being with them here and now but his statement is just more than that it is the truth we will always have the poor, sick and hungry this will never change and to compromise on our faith and water it down to unite with other religions is a big mistake Revelation 3:16.
Common ground is important, if we want to define our way of life here in America all of us have to know and understand our common ground.
I cannot expect the LDS to water down their faith and compromise nor the Muslim and do not expect me the Christian to do the same. We have common ground to be free and to worship God but Christians cannot compromise on the word of God and Jesus and we cannot compromise our way to salvation.
END OF THE WEEK, THE LOW DOWN DIRTY SAME OF IT ALL
End of the week not too much in the news this week other than Sony motion pictures getting hacked again. Mind you this is not the first time they got hacked, this is like the third time and they keep doing nothing but keep the front door of their computer system open.
The FBI says it was the North Koreans in retaliation to the Movie the Interview, they say the North Koreans because they supposedly investigated it and all the evidence shows signs of North Korea. Well a few things, if it was North Korea then it was the NK’s government because nobody does anything in that country without the blessing of the government.
But was it really the North Korea government, I mean if you’re going to hack a big company like Sony would not you try and blame somebody else that is if you’re a good hacker. Maybe North Korea did not hack Sony but have no problems taking the blame.
1 North Korea will take the blame happily because it makes them look more technologically bigger than they probably really are. 2 It not only makes them look bigger and badder than what they are but they got the movie cancelled. 3 Have you ever seen the movie Team America
either Kim Jong-un is pretty smart and quick to respond to bad movies or Kim Jong-il was technologically in the stone age and wishes he was Kim Jong-healthy right now (I think I’m correct on #3)
I actually was pretty productive on the computer this week and was able to publish four blogs.
The Gift of Honest Integrity: Based off a post a coworker posted on Facebook that quoted Proverbs chapter 2 verses 7, I basically expanded it and encompassed Proverbs chapter 1 to 11. The chapters from King Solomon the wisest man at the time and maybe ever stated if we follow and obey God and his word he will give us common sense and the integrity to walk with.
Blog 2 Progressive Blindness: A follow Christian Blogger who is obvious a liberal leftist posted a blog on why conservative Christians can’t be true Christians because conservatism is not Christ like. I disagree and rebuttal with my own blog stating that conservatism is the foundation of what Christians should follow and progressive thought while is emotionally intent on good follows not God but disrespect Gods law.
Blog 3 How We Got Here: Based on the small talk around the water cooler about the CIA reports of America’s involvement in torture of prisoners of war after the September 11 2001 attacks. I think there is more to here than what meets the eye and I try to map out how Got America to this point were we would use torture to keep us all safe at night.
Final blog was my movie review of Exodus Gods and Kings, not that good of a movie fell short of being an epic Biblically great movie by allowing an atheist to direct this great story.
As ChristMas gets close only a few more days everyone stay safe, maybe slow down on the liquid partying a bit so some of us can drive to and from work safely.
Please remember what ChristMas means, and I just read a blog today that said the saying “happy holidays” was based on Holy Days so Happy Holy Days as well.
This day December 25th is yes not Jesus’s real birthday we don’t know the exact day so it was chosen December 25th. And no matter if you think it was some compromise with the pagans to share this day remember this. We don’t really celebrate the winter solstice unless you’re a pagan witch, we celebrate ChristMas, Jesus’s birthday.
It was that day some 2000 + years ago that God allowed us back into his eys and to live forever again. If you don’t know what I’m talking about please by all means get a Bible and read the first four books of the New Testament Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. Read Matthew and Luke to know the ChrisMas story and read Mark and John to know why God sent his son for us. Go to a good healthy church and ask what does Jesus birth really mean.
Happy Holy Days and Merry ChristMas see you next year.
Exodus Gods and Kings the second major biblical motion picture made this year using “A” list actors and an atheist director. The story of Moses and the Exodus is a great story written firsthand account by Moses himself and it’s a wonder why Ridley Scott refused to just make Exodus based on what was wrote in the actual Exodus.
Read it for yourselves Exodus chapter 2 through chapter 14 it’s an amazing account that should have been used but I guess if director Scott did he had to either except this was a complete historical event that reads like a fairytale or supernatural; or believe there really is a God.
Unlike the movie Noah Exodus Gods and Kings does follow the book of Exodus pretty closely, there are a few scenes where Scott’s atheistic view points are thrown in and it’s is why I believe Scott did not follow the book completely because if he did like I say he would have to admit there is a God.
Because the movie left some parts of the actual Exodus out it makes the movie lack its full potential and in my opinion never reach that status as an epic movie.
The parts that were left out and I’ll tell you because it does not spoil the movie and this way if you have not yet seen it you can compare and have your own opinion.
Moses is portrayed as an atheist, he believes in himself not God. Although Moses does what God tells him the movie paints a picture that Moses never completely understands who God is.
Left out: Aaron and how much God used him to help Moses drive his message from God to Pharaoh also the fact Aaron is told by God to meet Moses in the wilderness is left out.
Yes Aaron is in the movie and played by Andrew Tarbet but was mainly an observer of what Moses was doing. In real life Aaron was Moses’s voice and with Moses’s staff in Aaron’s hand God invoked the plagues something the movie never shows.
I believe the reason why Scott never shows how the plagues are really started based on Exodus is the director was trying to explain scientifically how these plagues could have happened without God.
Scott actually tries to explaine in a scientific way by one of Pharaohs advisers on how the plagues could happen, this is another atheist point of view. No God just freaks of nature happened maybe God allowed it or just freaks of nature you the audience be the judge.
God is shown in a child form while the book of Exodus clearly states he came to Moses as a burning bush once and talks to him several times throughout the Exodus it is not known if God showed himself in human form.
Most likely not since in Exodus chapter 33 verses 18-20 God tells Moses nobody can see his face and live. Nowhere in the Biblical Old Testament does God show his face, he uses Angles, profits and sometimes objects to talk to people but he never talks face to face to man.
Exodus Gods and Kings is a cinematically stunning movie visually, the acting is A + with Christian Bale as Moses, Joel Edgerton as Pharaoh Ramses and John Turturro as Pharaoh Seti. Where the movie fails is in the story.
If Gods and Kings had followed the book of Exodus this probably would have been an even more visually stunning historical accurate movie about how a man trusted God and defeated a great nation.
Director Scott’s atheist view pot shots are riddled throughout this movie making this a very dangerous movie to take your kids to without some discernment.
My suggestion is read Exodus chapter 1 through chapter 14 it will give you the much needed information to take with you to the movie. I suggest maybe you read it with the whole family before you go, together study it and have a Q and A session as well. Be well educated before you take your kids to this movie.
If you want to see a good movie with good actors about a great story then Exodus Gods and Kings is worth seeing. If you are going because you want to see a good Biblical movie with “A” list actors then this is not for you, you will be disappointed with what director Scott left out.
I give Exodus Gods and Kings 2.5 stars it reached out for greatness but was much too short for goodness.
The small topic of the week has been Christians and the tolerance of torture so I would like to throw my two cents in to the topic as well because I believe there is more to this than what we want to admit.
This all started last week when my Senator from California Dianne Feinstein in my opinion committed treason and published the CIA reports on our interrogation practices used on war criminals from the 911 attack of 2001.
When Feinstein brought those interrogation tactics out into the public she not only put every American in this country at risk she put every American dignitary and every service men and women in the armed forces that serve around the world at risk as well not to mention the free world.
Feinstein should be impeached, arrested tried and sent to prison for treason for putting Americans at risk.
Now with that off my chest let us proceed, I believe this whole situation of torture to get much needed information to find Osama Bin Laden is very involved and cannot be just looked over as a bunch of CIA agents torturing prisoners of war because president George W Bush said it was fine.
The debate should Christian’s condone torture is a no brainer no they should not but we need to look at what got us to this time in our lives that we had to use torture to keep our country safe and exact revenge on the over 2500 people killed in the September 11th 2001 attack.
There are two levels to look at, one being the political and the other being the Christian view and both are valid and important to look at so let’s precede to understanding how we arrived at not only torture but revenge
First we will look at the political side of how we got to torture and what could have been done to avoid it. It started back in the 1980’s when Senator Charlie Wilson from Texas saw how the people of Afghanistan where getting slandered by the Russians.
Wilson convinced president Reagan and with the help of some other military geniuses acquired stinger missiles in the hands of Afghan rebels to fight against the invading communist Russians.
This was a win win kill for America, our stinger missiles helped the Afghan rebels defeat the Russians and forced them to retreat from Afghanistan. This also helped the Americans win the cold war by causing Russia to spend more money on a losing battle ultimately killing the Russian government and loosing the cold war.
When president Regans term ended George H Bush won the 1988 presidency. When the cold war ended Bush 41 stopped funding the Afghans allowing for the extreme Islam to make their move in the region.
In 1992 President Bill Clinton won the presidency and in 1993 the first attack on the world trade center was tried killing 6 people and injuring 1000. In 2000 the USS Cole was attacked in Yemen killing 17 service men.
The 1993 attack was a declaration of war, the 2000 USS Cole attack was a declaration of war and yet President Clinton stood by and did nothing. What should have been the beginning of trying to stop radical Islamic terrorist in 1993 became the killing of 17 service men with the attack on the USS Cole.
In 2000 President George W Bush was elected president and 8 months in to his first term September 11th 2001 20977 people died when radical Islamic terrorist flew American planes into the twin towers, the pentagon and the attempt of what might have been the US White House.
This should have been stopped back in 1993; Bush 41 and Clinton should have never stopped supplying the Afghan rebels with missiles they were friends of the U.S. and were keeping extreme Islam from growing in the region. But because our Presidents forgot our Middle Eastern allies and did not declare war on radical Islam in 1993 or 2000, September 11 attacks happened and the US military went to war.
Bush 43 sent our soldiers to war but did not ask the American People to invest themselves in this war, we were told to go shopping and live our lives and because of this in my opinion is why we forgot we were attacked.
When prisoners of war were captured they were not interrogated in the battlefield and they were not tried and sentenced to death in the battlefield. They were shipped to American soil and that put all Americans at danger with this action, those prisoners were interrogated on American soil and I believe that was a mistake.
In 2011 Seal team 6 attacked and killed Osama Bin Laden and President Obama who like President Clinton did nothing took full credit for the killing of Bin Laden.
It was the tactics employed by the CIA years before President Obama was elected that killed Bin Laden not the expert foreign policy of President Obama or Hilary Clinton or lack there of.
As you can see politically this all may have been avoided way back in the early 1990’s but it didn’t happen. We had defunded the Afghan rebels with Bush 41, We had a week president in Clinton and we had and president that refused to let the American people invest themselves in the Iraq and Afghan war and for that we are here in a place where we had to tolerate torture in order to keep our country safe and try and win a war that Americans had forgotten.
In 2008 we elected a president that is undoing everything that we went to war for in 2001 and now Christians in the Middle East are dying, children are having their heads cut off for believing in Jesus this is where we are so where will we go from here.
Now the Christian view, in my opinion no Christian tolerates or condones torture. For a long time now America has been pulling away from God, sometimes a lot and sometimes not at all but for the most part America has slowly pulled away from God but God has not turned his back on us.
We legalized the killing of unborn children and our country condones biblical immorality. The world is starting to no longer live in a black and white world and our country is mimicking this by excusing bad behavior. Doing wrong is no longer necessarily bad and our feelings are more important than following God’s moral law.
As Christians we too are attacked and are blind to God’s moral law and his ethical behavior. We make excuses for bad behavior and we do in the name of God’s love.
Christians are being attacked not always physically but mentally and socially and it’s wearing down on some. God’s love does not include condoning immorality, it does not condone putting other God’s before him.
There is a time when Christians have to stand up for what it right, what is moral and what is ethical the 10 commandment are not the 10 suggestions.
The more Christians give into changing God’s natural law, his moral law and ethical behavior the more division we create amongst ourselves. Satan is convincing Christians that we should not judge sin. Since we all sin we should just accept one another as we are and sin equally. The 10 commandment are just rules to live by.
This division Lucifer has created is causing Christians to lose common ground with each other. If we lose common ground with each other we are no longer practice Christianity but only practice religion and there will be no ground to stand together on.
As our country pulls away from God, his moral law and ethical behavior we then lose our faith in our country and in each other. It’s a division between the people and the government and if we demand our government to be secular and not follow God’s moral law and ethical behavior then why should we expect anything less than torture.
Our country was once strong in God, our military was week but we continued to grow none the less. Our country is now strong in government and week in God in my opinion will continue to get weaker as long as we continue to walk away from God.
Bottom line is as a Christian you can be upset and mad about what this country has done to try and protect not only you but over 300 million people that live in America but the fault does not lie with one person it lies with all of us. We are all to blame for this and if we don’t stop walking from God but instead to God we can expect more of this kind of behavior to come.
The above blog popped up on one of the blogging forums I use on Facebook, it was posted by Christian Surf and written by Allen Clifton who I’m kind of thinking is not a Christian as defined by most born again Christians would define but I can’t judge his heart only God can
It’s a pretty negative blog attacking Conservative Christians mainly Conservatives in general, I read through it and thought I would rebuttal as a conservative Christians since he’s calling me out I’ll answer his call.
The first thing is he labels all conservatives republicans and defines them as being in a cult but that simply is not true. Conservatives just can’t vote for democrats, the Democratic Party is way too progressive right now and is just too much like communism to me.
Believe me not all conservatives are republicans it’s just that’s all we can vote for, no conservative is thrilled with theses deadbeat rinos that come up for election but we either vote for them and try and change policy with a moderate republican or don’t vote and deal with deadbeat democrats and their socialism you can’t win either way.
Some conservatives will refuse to vote for moderate republicans no matter what is on the line they have too much conviction to compromise with socialism.
The next issue was abortion, as a Christian Mr. Clifton is against abortion and thinks it’s wrong and that’s really good to hear, it kind of leaves a emptiness in your soul when you meet a person that states they are a believer but thinks killing an unborn child is fine.
Clifton feels if somebody wants or has an abortion well that’s none of his business and frankly it’s nobody else’s business.
This is where I disagree and think why most level headed Christians have the view of “we cannot condone a society that kills its unborn”.
It should be all our concerns that we have legalized the murder of unborn children; it’s too convenient to just dismiss something that is wrong just because you’re told it’s none of your business.
My question to the Christian that views abortion is nobody’s business but the person having it is how do justify this if you know it’s wrong.
Would you stand by and knowingly let a person be murdered, would you be more concerned if your state government decided to legalize the killing of adults that stayed on government assistance for more than say 8 years and now is a burden on society.
What makes the abortion ok because it’s none of your business, because the child is not yet born, it can’t communicate or do complex rational thought so it’s not really a living person.
When does it not be okay, when the unborn child is 2 month in the womb, 3 months, 5, 8 when is it not okay to kill the unborn.
Guns, Mr. Clifton does not like people with guns well I own a few guns and I own them for protection. If somebody is breaking into my house I have an obligation to protect my family and I guarantee the police will not get to my house before the bad guy has done his bad deed.
Christians also believe in the 2nd amendment and the constitution that gives them freedom to bear arms.
The reason why our founding father constructed the 2nd amendment was not to just protect from home invasion of some random thug but to give the American citizen the ability to protect themselves from tyrannical power of a government and from the average thug that would threaten your personal property.
No Christian wants to use a gun but its there if we need it because some brilliant men thought it should be your right to protect yourself.
The next is Homosexuality, yes I’m opposed to the gay lifestyle on a few levels one being it’s against what the Bible teaches us as a matter of fact the inspired word of God (the Bible) discusses this at least twice first being Leviticus 18:22 and again the New Testament in Romans 1: 26-27. Mind you this verse is not condoning the act of homosexuality.
I don’t think God is just picking on the homosexual there is more here than just two of the same sexes trying to act like a heterosexual couples. Homosexuality if practiced is unsafe, unhealthy and brings risk not to mention it’s has no design to reproduce itself.
As a conservative I oppose homosexuality because the lifestyle is destructive and anti family. Today’s gay life is in your face “you must accept me and my life choices or else you’re a homophobe or a bigot” this is a sexually based sin that has embraced the politically correctness for safety.
It refuses to acknowledge its hurting and is based in a lie, becomes unstable for a society that tries to be the truth right for all that live in it.
I personally have had dealings with homosexuality in my own family and I have first hand seen the destructive behavior it has brought to not only my family but other families that it has involved with.
It’s morally wrong and biblically wrong, God does care when people hurt other people and hurt themselves it does matter to him.
Next is giving to charity and why go into this I’m at a loss, Clifton said he gives the conservative the nod on giving to charity but states why should we since their church tells them to give tithes anyhow.
Not all conservatives are Christian so can’t expect all to tithe to their church. Churches do not command that we tithe to them. I would say if you go to a church that expects you to give tithing then you should leave.
What the inspired word of God does say is this in 2 Corinthians 9:6-7 I believe most healthy Christians practice this in give based on its the right thing to do we do it out of our heart not because a church tells us to.
He goes on and pulls the greed card on conservatives that we all just want to be rich and hoard the money.
Yes we want a free market and yes capitalism is the best way to do business in a free market but you’re talking about capital cronyism not true free market capitalism where the government lets society earn their own money by working hard and helping those that cannot help themselves. The opposite of all this is communism and I’m not for that.
Right now both our state and federal governments punish you for succeeding in life by taxing you. They use those taxes wastefully if anyone should get a lecture on greed and selfishness it’s our government.
Clifton states that different denomination interprets the bible very differently and I do not agree on that. Most Judeo Christian denominations that are healthy in the word of God see God’s word all the same.
They may have different doctrines and put emphases on some biblical practices over the other but most view God’s word the same. What Clifton is talking about is religions and born again Christians don’t belong to a religion they belong to a relationship with God.
Clifton then ask what makes a person a Christian, is it going to church, reading the bible. Clifton believes that being a Christian comes down to who you are as a person and how closely you try and live your life with the beliefs of Jesus Christ and that is a pretty good answer except if the thief on the cross had followed that definition he would have gone to hell.
Salvation is what makes you a Christian, John chapter 3 verse 16 sums up what it takes to be a Christian and belong to Jesus Christ.
It is why an Atheist is not a Christian, it’s why a Muslim is not a Christian and why a ton of people that go through life thinking all I have to be is good and I’ll get to heaven are wrong Matthew chapter 7 verses 21-23
At the end Clifton just bashes conservative Christians for enjoying guns, practicing greed selfishness and hate. My question for Clifton that feels progressives and leftist are more compassionate…where is the compassion?
This was posted on my Facebook feed the other day by a FB friend that I actually know and work with and although it’s taken mid chapter it’s a very important message King Solomon was writing. The full context can be started at Proverbs chapter 2 verses 1 through 11 and here we get a very good lesson on why following God and his word would be beneficial to us.
My son,if you accept my words and store up my commands within you,2 turning your ear to wisdom and applying your heart to understanding— 3 indeed, if you call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding, 4 and if you look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure, 5 then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God. 6 For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding. 7 He holds success in store for the upright, he is a shield to those whose walk is blameless, 8 for he guards the course of the just and protects the way of his faithful ones. 9 Then you will understand what is right and just and fair—every good path. 10 For wisdom will enter your heart, and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul. 11 Discretion will protect you, and understanding will guard you.
If we could just trust and obey God’s word and have faith in how he directs us we too will be great men and women like Solomon was.
If you view this passage in an objective way you can see God is telling you that if you walk with him follow him he will grant you wisdom and integrity. He is also telling us if you do not walk with God and fallow him you are doomed to deal with ignorance and dishonor.
It does not take too much intelligence to see this, countries that have embraced The God of the Bible have been more so prosperous and viewed with integrity while on the flip side countries that have refused to put God first or embrace him have not always been so wealthy and most have been viewed with corruption or deceitful.
Individuals follow the same path and can be held to the same standard. How has your walk with God been, do people view you as honest and have been blessed with common sense. Just because a man or woman does not have monetary wealth does not mean they do not have wealth.
Jesus tells many parables of being rich in money but having a bankrupted soul. What Solomon was writing here is when you follow God, when you look to God for your decisions, and when you except The God of the Bible as your God he will give you wisdom, morality and ethical integrity and that is something that money cannot buy.
END OF THE WEEK, THE LOW DOWN DIRTY SHAME OF IT ALL
End of the week again halfway through December and almost the end of the year. As I type this we here in Nor Cal and Northern Nevada are supposed to be in the mist of what is dubbed the storm of the century and outside my window it’s just cloudy with maybe a promise of more rain to come. Even more reason why I beg people to not put your trust of weather and climate from man it will always bite you, sometimes hard sometimes just a nip but it will always bite you.
In the news Jonathan Gruber the smartest man in MIT that helped build the ACA (Obama Care) and calling the average American stupid faced some payback justice with a hearing on Capitol Hill. What is even more disturbing is that Gruber is now on record as saying that abortion is a “social good” due to the claim that it reduces the number of “marginal children” what is the definition of marginal children well think, the progressive ideology is saying poor people don’t count and they need abortion to keep more poor children from being introduced into our society that cost us and our government more dollars, kind of sad that one would view a life based on reducing its cost instead of life as a miracle and joyous that should be saved and protect at all cost.
Our smartest woman in California Dianne Feinstein put most everyone and all of our foreign dignitaries and military men and women at risk when she released the senate CIA report a few days ago. The report just stated what we all knew with regards to torture being done to capture war criminals in regards to our September 11th 2001 attack in New York City. America did what it needed to do, if anything we should have done more. Bush failed us in the fact he did not allow Americans to invest themselves more into the 911 attacks like America did after the Pearl Harbor attack of 1941. I believe because of this a division was allowed to happen and Americans quickly forgot why we invaded Iraq and Afghanistan. Some 13 years later some view this invasion a mistake and I believe if Bush had made this more of a personal attack on each American and his and hers Freedom we would have a different view and maybe had a less decisive government that seems to attack our freedom for power.
This week I published two blogs first one entitled I BLAME YOU MR. FARRAKHAN, MR. SHARPTON AND MR. JACKSON; I blame the deaths of Travon Martin, Eric Garner and Michael Brown on the lack of leadership that Louis Farrakhan, Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson have brought to the American Black community. Second blog WE WOULD MISS YOU is based off a post that a FB friends posted. Something that is real in the hearts of certain people but is rarely looked at from their point of view and I felt it needed to be said so those who suffer with anxiety, depression, and loneliness would know there are people out there that do care.
Movie to see this Christmas month is a good one called “It happened on 5th Avenue” The Christmas movies should start churning out about now and this is a good one. Very much like “It’s a wonderful life” as a matter of fact Frank Capra was offered the movie and turned it down. It starts off a bit slow but stick with it because the middle half to the end it really gets going and although it’s a bit 1947 corny at times it drives home some real good points about love, greed and the pursue of freedom.
Not a bad week this week gave me and I hope you were dealt the same. I’ll be heading into the new week working a bit then off to deliver some gifts to the family and hopefully enjoying the movie Gods and Kings. I know it will be Biblically unsound but with Bale as Moses it should be at least entertaining and that my friend is the lowdown of the week.
